Arthur Carey
Arthur Lee Carey, 98, North Hamilton Street, Minster, formerly of Fort Loramie, died at 10:50 a.m. Sept. 1, 2006, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
He was born Oct. 13, 1907, in Sidney, to Charles H. and Bertha Gallimore Carey. On Aug. 16, 1932, he married Luetta C. Winner who died in 1967.
Surviving are three sons, Lavern of Fort Loramie, Gerald (Ruth) of Dayton, and Paul (Laura) of Minster; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are a son, Herbert; three brothers, three sisters and a grandchild.
He retired from Minster Machine Co. in 1969 and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie. He also was a 50-year member of Minster Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 1391.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.
Contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
