ROCKFORD - The Rockford Police Department will operate a satellite office in Parkway High School to boost security and student safety.
"I've been discussing this with (Rockford Police) Chief (Paul) May for the past three or four months, and I think it will be a valuable aspect of our school," superintendent Greg Puthoff said at Tuesday night's Parkway Local Schools Board of Education meeting. [More]

FORT RECOVERY - The Queen and David Bowie song "Under Pressure" began playing Tuesday night at the conclusion of the Marion Local and Fort Recovery game.
It was the soundtrack to Marion Local's night.

ST. MARYS - School board members are considering conducting a feasibility study that would include interviews with residents about whether to improve the existing football stadium or build a new one.
