Increasing winds later tonight and Monday morning will support blowing snow, primarily in rural areas. A few hours of light snow are expected late this evening, mainly after 8 pm. While accumulations will be light, some challenging travel conditions may develop given the cold temperatures. Additional snow may linger through Monday morning with accumulations remaining light. However, increasing winds and very cold temperatures will support blowing snow, primarily in rural areas. ST. HENRY - Residents in 30 days will be allowed to drive under-speed vehicles, including golf carts, on village roadways with a speed limit of 25 mph or slower.
Council on Monday passed the ordinance after its third and final reading. The vehicles must pass a police department inspection before being used, according to the ordinance. The inspection fee for a newly purchased vehicle is $50, and the inspection of a vehicle that has been inspected by another law enforcement agency is $20. [More]
Area program for developmentally disabled turns 50

CELINA - The Cheryl Ann Board of Developmental Disabilities will host a 50th anniversary open house for the public from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 25.
Chili, snacks and drinks will be served as attendees take part in outdoor games, indoor tours and a short video reminiscing about both the 50-year-old origin of the Mercer County Cheryl Ann Coate Program and the 1967 legislation launching statewide programs for developmentally disabled children and adults.
