Eric Romer
Eric E. Romer, age 66, Sarasota, Florida, and formerly of Middletown, Ohio, and Fort Recovery, Ohio, died January 23, 2019, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born March 11, 1952, in Celina, Ohio, to the late Cletus and Mary (Pottkotter) Romer. On October 18, 1975, he married Emily (Rossi) Romer, who survives.
Also surviving is his child Erica Gallagher, husband, Steven Gallagher grandchildren, Jade, Emma and Brooke; brothers, John (Irene) Romer of Lagrange, IN, Neil (Karen) Romer of St. Henry, OH, Spencer (Patty) Romer of Dayton, OH, Gerard (Sue) Romer of Ormond Beach, FL, Kevin (Melissa) Romer of Greenville, OH, Martin (Kellie) Romer of Greencastle, IN and Calvin (Carolyn) Romer of Dayton OH; mother-in-law, Patricia Rossi of Sarasota, FL; brother-in-law Bill (Connie) Rossi, Tampa, FL.
Preceding him in death are his parents Cletus and Mary Helen Romer, brother, Paul Romer, sister, Valerie (Romer) Gerlach, father-in-law Hugh Rossi and brother-in-law, Mark Rossi.
He was a graduate of Fort Recovery High School and former owner of Genuine Lawn Care and most recently employed at Rossi & Company, Inc., Sarasota, FL.
He enjoyed going to the beach, golfing, cooking, playing cards, but most of all loved his family.
Calling is 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2 at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, 40 North Orange Avenue, Sarasota, FL. There will be a service held at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers please donate to your local Hospice in Eric's name.
