CELINA - It seemed like Fort Recovery would have some momentum going into the second set, but Celina would have none of that.
After a wild first set that Celina won in extra points, the Bulldogs dominated the final two to take a 28-26, 25-9, 25-16 Mercer County volleyball victory over the Indians on Tuesday night at the intermediate school gymnasium. The win moves the Bulldogs to 8-0 on the season as the Indians drop their fourth straight match after starting 4-0. [More]

MINSTER - Village council members at Tuesday night's meeting awarded a $1.23 million contract to Brumbaugh Construction Inc. of Arcanum for the reconstruction of East Seventh Street.
WAPAKONETA - Forty- eight new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Auglaize County since Thursday, raising the county's cumulative number of cases to 4,022.
ROCKFORD - Village officials plan to petition a court to transfer a total of $231,640.73 from reportedly inactive funds to the village's water and sewer funds to help pay for future projects such as an anticipated new water tower.
FORT RECOVERY - Village officials have applied for $1.25 million in American Rescue Plan grant funds through a state program that would cover most of the cost to build a second water tower.
