| St. Marys East Elementary School students sample fruits and vegetables during a health fair at the school Tuesday. This marks the fifth year for the fair, held this year in conjunction with Jump for Hearts, a heart health awareness program sponsored by the American Heart Association. The fair was sponsored by Tri Star Career Compact med-prep students, Joint Township District Memorial Hospital and Ohio State University Extension Service in Auglaize County. Tri Star med prep student Teri Overcash, St. Marys, gave kids an overview on vitamins as they enjoyed the fruits and vegetables. Overcash said she was surprised that a lot of the kids didn't recognize broccoli or cantaloupe. ŇOn the other hand, some kids went right for the broccoli first," she said.
