Celina firefighters work at the scene of a house fire at 117 Morton Street, that gutted the kitchen and left heavy smoke damage throughout the home Saturday afternoon. The cause of the fire was undetermined as of this morning. Damage amounts were set at $20,000 for the structure and another $20,000 for contents, according to the Celina Fire Depart- ment. The owner of the home, Harry Vantilburg, reported the fire at 3:36 p.m. and was the only occupant in the two-story home at the time, the report said. Vantilburg escaped without injury but was forced to find a temporary place to live due to the extensive damage to the residence. The home was reportedly insured. Two fire trucks and 10 firefighters responded to the fire, which was brought under control in approximately 30 minutes. Purchase this as a quality photograph |
