| Fort Recovery resident Dixie Timmerman looks through yellowed documents that shed some light on the military history her father, Walter "Leon" Mills, never shared with family members. Timmerman and her siblings found the papers, a vintage Japanese mortar shell and old dog tags last week while cleaning out his former Wiggs Street home.
