Burkettsville shelterhouse | ||||||||
| ||||||||
Community volunteers work at the site of a 55-by-60-foot shelterhouse being built at the Burkettsville Park. Nearly two dozen workers showed up earlier in the week to set rafters for the structure scheduled to be completed in early August. The $74,000 project is being supported by the village as well as donations from area residents and businesses. The facility, which will seat nearly 200, includes a kitchenette and restrooms. Future park projects include the addition of a volleyball court, horseshoe pits, lighting for the existing ball diamond, trees and more playground equipment. These will be added as funds become available. Purchase this as a quality photograph |
