Pam Broering, left, and Lucille Monnin stand in Monnin's front yard on Ross-Medford Road two miles west of North Star this morning, with a sign protesting the proposed expansion of Ross-Medford Farm LLC. The farm has applied for permits from the Ohio Department of Agriculture to expand its operation to 1.27 million laying hens, add four chicken barns, a manure storage building and a 2 million gallon egg wash storage pond. Broering lives about 1,600 feet away from where the storage pond would be constructed. Purchase this as a quality photograph |
