| ||||||||
Workers from Celina Tent put into place the biggest tent on the grounds of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater in preparation for this weekend's Knights of Columbus Picnic. The picnic, the first area festival of the summer, begins at 1 p.m. today and concludes Sunday evening with a variety of food and games on tap. For the first time, picnic organizers are offering a special one-time ticket price of $7 for children who wish to ride any of the mechanical rides from 6-10 p.m. tonight and from 1-5 p.m. Sunday. Also on Sunday, free pony rides will be available from 2-6 p.m. and barbecue chicken dinners will be sold from 4-7 p.m. Win or lose at the state tournament, the Coldwater High School baseball team is slated to arrive at the picnic at 6:30 p.m. Saturday for a welcome home rally.
