Children connect with Japanese | ||||||||
| ||||||||
First- and second-grade
children from all over Mercer County were fascinated Tuesday by different
types of Japanese culture presented during the weeklong program "Kid Connections"
for accelerated students. Kelsey Eckhart, 6, of Celina, watches closely
as Kiyomi Horii, 10, and Tomoe Uchida, both of St. Marys, help the students
begin folding their origami boxes. Kid Connections is a program sponsored
by the Mercer County Educational Service Center and held for three consecutive
weeks each summer with varying themes such as this year's focus on Japan. Purchase this as a quality photograph |
