Chickasaw Fire Chief Mark Seitz shows off equipment purchased with federal grant money to U.S. Senator Mike DeWine during the legislator's bus trip to Mercer County on Friday morning. Chickasaw has received more than $142,000 in grant money the past two years as part of a program created through DeWine's Firefighter Investment and Response Enhancement Act. Seitz said the money has been used to purchase new turn-out gear, self-contained breathing apparatus and a new pickup truck used in fighting grass fires. He is awaiting information regarding the 2004 grant. Purchase this as a quality photograph |
