Car 'ribbons' are helping area people gather funds to send care packages to war troops | ||||||||

Jim Fischer, of Celina, places a magnetic yellow Support Our Troops ribbon on his car. Fischer, who has served in the U.S. Navy, has a step-son, U.S. Navy Lt. Lonnie Applegate, who has just returned home from serving in Iraq, and a son-in-law, Tom Harrington, with the Army National Guard, who will be leaving for Iraq in September.
