Mercer County Democratic Central Committee Chairman Mark Uhlenhake, right, urges local Democrats gathering Tuesday to get out and tell their neighbors to vote for John Kerry for president on Nov. 2. He is joined by Aaron Schwirian, a volunteer with the Kerry-John Edwards campaign. Supporters circulated a sign-up list at the pot-luck dinner to gather names to help call on undecided voters in the area. Schwirian told the crowd in the United Steelworkers Hall in Coldwater the election will not be won by Democrats or Republicans. "It will be won by people who know which candidate is best for the job ... This is about the future of our country,"he said. The rally Tuesday was coordinated with similar events in each of Ohio's 88 counties planned for this week. Purchase this as a quality photograph |
