Trout released at Grand Lake state park | ||||||||

Andy Jarrett, a fish management technician with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, releases about 500 rainbow trout in a pond at Grand Lake St Marys State Park Friday morning. A large group of anglers lined up with poles in hand at the pond shortly after the fish were released. A culbert was temporarily blocked off to give anglers a better shot at catching all the trout, ODNR officials said. Any fish not caught will be able to survive the winter, but not the warm temperatures of the shallow lake when summer comes. This is the third time rainbow trout have been stocked at the site to provide a different fishing opportunity for local anglers. Purchase this as a quality photograph |
