Bows of support | ||||||||
| ||||||||
Residents along Terrace Avenue in Coldwater have adorned the street with yellow ribbons in support of Jeff Rutschilling, who will be leaving Friday morning for Iraq or Afghanistan. A 2002 graduate of Coldwater High School, Rutschilling is a member of the U.S. Army Reserves and is the son of Jack and Deb Rutschilling, 1000 Terrace Ave. The ribbons will stay up until the young man returns in 12 to 18 months. At the present time 20-plus military persons from Mercer County are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to Helen Jacobs of Coldwater, who spearheaded a recent care package drive.
