Notre Dame finished fourth in the Women's 6000-meter race, earning the final team award. Irish freshman Sunni Olding had a strong race to wrap up her first season of collegeiate running. The Minster graduate finished in 32nd place and was the second Irish finisher with a time of 21:09.2. North Carolina State junior Kris Roth also did well in her third straight trip to the Nationals, finishing 76th overall with a time of 21:43.8. The Wolfpack finished 11th in the race. Colorado University won the national title, scoring 63 points. Duke was second with 144 while Big East power Providence was third with 164 points. Spencerville graduate Angela Homan, the Southeastern Conference champion, earned All-American honors by finishing ninth in a time of 20:43.8. |
