Celina tried to get back in the game with a 21-16 fourth quarter, but Piqua was already well ahead. Aaron Braun led Celina with 15 points. Eric Klosterman and Seth Staugler added 11 points each with Brandon Wurster finishing with nine. Celina opens the home portion of the schedule next Friday with Linden McKinley. Indians rough up Wildcats Fort Recovery placed three players in double figures as the Indians got things started right with a 62-47 win over Kalida at Fort Site Fieldhouse. The Indians jumped out to a 15-6 first quarter lead and never looked back in adding to the score for the final three quarters. Travis VanSkyock led all scorers with a double-double night of 24 points and 10 rebounds. VanSkyock was 3-of-8 from the three-point line. Greg Faller and Tyler Wuebker each added 13 for the Tribe. Fort Recovery was slated to travel to Versailles next Friday, but the Tigers are heading to Canton. Fort Recovery will host Tri-Village on Saturday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL Rangers down Perry Nicole Wright scored 19 to help New Knoxville improve to 2-1 with a 64-42 win over Perry at Ranger Gymnasium. A 20-9 second quarter broke the game open for the Lady Rangers, who added some balanced scoring during the game. Kendall Bertsch added 11 points and Haley Kruse and Kara Katterheinrich added eight. New Knoxville hosts St. John's in conference play on Thursday.
