Employees at Relizon Corp., 515 W. Sycamore St., Coldwater, bide their time waiting for the all-clear sign to return to the building in the wake of a fire around 9 a.m. today. An electric vacuum pump apparently malfunctioned causing a plastic hose to catch fire in the warehouse area, said acting Coldwater fire chief Paul Streacker this m orning. Flames were already out when three trucks and a dozen firefighters arrived on the scene. Ventilation equipment was used to clear the smoke. Streacker estimated damage to the pump at $5,000 to $6,000. Firefighters spent 45 minutes at the scene. Purchase this as a quality photograph |
