| Terry Humphries, president of St. Marys Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289 Clown Unit, applies makeup for an appearance. The unit, organized in 1971, was once the only known VFW organization of its kind in the world. Members voted in June to disband. Their final appearance is at Saturday's St. Marys Summerfest Parade.
