Gas prices soar locally | ||||||||

Customers fill up their tanks at $2.56 per gallon for regular gasoline at a station in downtown Celina on Friday. Prices have remained at the all time high -- a jump of about 20 cents per gallon from three weeks ago. The average price per gallon locally this morning was $2.52 following a random sampling of 18 area filling stations. The lowest price was found at Gas America in Minster at $2.44; the highest was at $2.55, shared by more than half of those surveyed. The price per barrel of crude oil on the New York Stock Exchange this morning dropped from $67 Friday to $66.65. Purchase this as a quality photograph |
