Kitten has leg up on rest of litter | ||||||||

Johnathan Grieshop, 8, of Maria Stein, decided that Extra was a good name for this five-legged cat born at his grandmother's (Alice Grieshop) house in Maria Stein. The additional white leg has a padded foot, toes and even tiny toenails, and the cat is oblivious to the appendage attached near his tail, says the boy's mother, Phyllis Grieshop. The family took the cat to a veterinarian, who said it could be surgically removed or just left alone. The family has decided to just leave Extra be as he was born.
