Family members and former co-workers of Kimberly S. Walls, who worked at the Auglaize County Council on Aging, watch as workers from General Tree Service, Celina, plant a red oak in her honor Thursday afternoon. The tree was planted on the East Bank at Grand Lake St. Marys State Park through the park's new tree planting program. Five other trees also were planted Thursday at the East Bank, West Bank and Windy Point. State Park Manager Craig Morton started the tree program to replace trees that have been lost due to weather conditions and disease. Each donated tree will have a plaque placed in the ground with the name of the loved one. Call the state park at 419-394-3611 for more information. Purchase this as a quality photograph |
