Construction of the five courts was approved by the Celina Board of Education in June, a year after fundraising for the courts began. The actual construction began in mid-July and was judged complete enough to have a practice as the girls prepared for sectional tennis today.
A patio, made up of bricks sold in the fundraising effort, has yet to be built and plans for a storage facility and possibly lights on the court are still in the works.
