| | Sometimes bubble gum can be tricky as many youngsters (and adults, for that matter) discovered at the Community Public Library, St. Marys, on Wednesday afternoon. It was the big celebration of National Bubble Gum Day and anyone using the library got their choice of watermelon, lemonade or strawberry gum. There was a lot of chewing going on in preparation for the hourly bubble contests. Chelsey Opasik, 7 and a student at St. Marys West Elementary School, said her dad taught her to blow bubbles.
