By Kelly Braun kbraun@dailystandard.com From newcomer Carrie Underwood to the legendary Alan Jackson and comedian Larry the Cable Guy, this year's lineup for Country Concert at Hickory Hill Lakes has something for everyone.
Tickets are on sale for the 26th annual music and camping festival slated for July 6-9. The 500-acre concert area is located along state Route 66, south of Fort Loramie. "We're really excited about this year's lineup. Where else can you see Carrie Underwood and Larry the Cable Guy live on the same stage? And they're not even our show closers," concert promoter Mike Barhorst says. Show closers this year are Jackson, Martina McBride, Montgomery Gentry and Lonestar, all who have hundreds of albums and had several chart-topping hits. The outdoor concert also includes live bull riding, karaoke competitions, a saloon with music and many food, beverage and souvenir vending stands. Past attendance during the last few years has hit nearly 65,000 fans throughout the weekend. Ticket prices range from $69 for a one-day Thursday ticket to $528 for a four-day stage front seat ticket. Additional permits are needed for camping and parking. Prices go up July 1. Tickets, camping and hotel information is available at 937-295-3000 or online at www.countryconcert.com.
