ELECTRICITY AGGREGATION PROGRAM PUBLIC HEARINGS
Pursuant O.R.C. Section 4929.26 (C), notice is hereby given that Mercer County will hold two public hearings on the County's Electric Aggregation Plan of Operation and Governance. The first hearing is scheduled for January 11, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. The same presentation will be presented at a second hearing on January 11, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Both hearings will be held at the Central Service Building, First Floor Conference Room located at 220 W. Livingston Street, Celina, Ohio. You can access the conference room from Sugar Street.
The County's Electric Aggregation Plan of Operation and Governance defines the policies and procedures by which Mercer County will carry out its government aggregation programs for unincorporated areas of the county. Specifically, it will include procedures to select an electric- generation provider, residents "opt-out" process, and other information related to rates and customer service.
This Electricity Aggregation Program provides a means for residential consumers to obtain economic benefits from Ohio's competitive retail electric market. All residents located in the unincorporated area of Mercer County and not served by Midwest Electric or the City of Celina are encouraged to attend one hearing. If you are not able to attend and would like more information, please contact the Office of the Commissioners at 419-586-3178 or via e-mail at commissioners@commissioners.mercercounty ohio.gov
