CELINA - The bright lights, dazzling costumes and larger-than-life, gravity-defying acts proved the perfect 90-minute escape from everyday life for more than 100 people gathered Monday at the Mercer County Fairgrounds.
The Great Pages Circus came to Celina to perform a total of four shows Monday and Tuesday. The acts included aerial acrobats, jugglers, camels, ponies, dogs, motorcycle daredevils, a trio of clowns, contortionists, tightwire dancers and balancing performers. [More]

MINSTER - In response to traffic safety concerns in town, village councilors began the process Tuesday night to ban semitrailer traffic in front of the schools and swimming pool and to establish two new four-way stops.
MINSTER- School board members awarded three-year contracts to three administrators at this week's regular meeting and also granted administrative raises across the board.
CELINA - The Mercer County Board of Elections could potentially move their office from the courthouse to a new location, such as the Central Services Building or a newly constructed building next to the courthouse.

MINSTER- School board members approved a $170,224 agreement for the demolition of the old bleachers and press box at Memorial Stadium during Monday night's meeting.
Board members approved the guaranteed maximum proposal of $170,224 from Baumer Construction of Minster for the demolition portion of the Memorial Stadium bleacher and press box project. Coldwater plates 13 runs in victory over neighbor Celina

COLDWATER - Entering Monday's rivalry game at Coldwater, the Celina baseball team had allowed just 12 runs over the first nine games of the season, including four shutouts, a no-hitter and a perfect game.
The hot-hitting Cavaliers made sure the numbers changed, scoring at least one run in their six innings at-bat en route to posting a 13-7 victory at Veterans Field to stay perfect on the season. [More]
