| The approximately 1,600 students in Coldwater Schools circled the track in Coldwater Stadium — four times — Friday to conclude a pep rally with a “Mile of Ice Cream Smiles,” reported high school principal Steve Keller. Students from kindergarten to 12th-grade had assembled earlier in the afternoon for the rally to celebrate 100 percent excused absences (No unexcused absences.) during state “count week” Oct. 6-10. Students were escorted to the stadium by a village fire truck, given Klondike ice cream treats and listened to several speakers. |
