Jacqueline Biggs
 Jacqueline R. ìJackieî Biggs, 74, 231 N. LeBlond St., Celina, died at 2:02 a.m. Oct. 29, 2003, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
 She was born June 18, 1929, in Milwaukee, Wisc., to Earl and Cleo Prater Keeling. On Jan. 31, 1953, she married James T. Biggs who died July 28, 1995.
 Survivors are a son, Greg (Karel Lea) of Celina; a daughter, Jan (Gerald) Martin, Celina; a stepdaughter, Darla (Paul) Forsythe, Benton, Ill.; and two stepgrandsons.
 Deceased is a sister.
 She was a homemaker and member of St. Paulís United Methodist Church, Celina.
 Services are 1 p.m. Monday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Katie Hayes officiating.

Joseph Crimble
 Former Celina resident Joseph Richard Crimble, 62, died Oct. 30, 2003, at his home in Cottage Grove, Tenn. Death was due to natural causes.
 He was born Nov. 26, 1940, in Ottawa, Kan., to John Richard and Lois Maxine Page Crimble. On Jan. 1, 1966, he married Betty Jane Brock who survives.
 Other survivors are three daughters, Teresa Lynn (Steve) Paschall and Margaret Ann (David) Lampkins, all of Cottage Grove, and Kathryn Marie (Allen) McDougal, Puryear, Tenn.; a brother, Art Houston of Kileen, Texas; a sister, Barbara Ann Williams, Dresden, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
 Deceased is a stillborn son, Charles Richard.
 He retired from Clifty Farms and was a greeter for Wal-Mart, both of Paris, Tenn. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of North Fork Baptist Church, Paris.
 Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at LeDon Chapel, Ridgeway Funeral Home, Paris, the Rev. Randy Kuykendall officiating. Burial is at Walker Cemetery, Paris.

Marion Foust
 Marion E. Foust, 68, formerly of Williams County and recently a resident of Pleasant Shade, Tenn., died Oct. 30, 2003, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
 He was born May 23, 1935, in West Unity, to Marion A. and Lodeema Gee Foust.
 Survivors are two daughters, Tami Lin Mohler, Coldwater, and Laurie Ann Beaverson, Archbold; two brothers, David of Bryan, and Tom of Montpelier; two sisters, Gloria (Ronald) Nagel, West Unity, and Jeanne Stamm, Archbold; and four grandchildren.
 Deceased are a sister, Anna Mae Martin; and a brother, John Vernon Ferguson.
 He was a farmer, worked at Tri-State Elevator Feed Mill, Elmira, and was head of maintenance at Fairlawn Nursing Home, Archbold. He attended West Unity High School and was a member of American Legion posts in Tennessee and Bryan, Ohio.
 Services are 11 a.m. Monday at the Hollingshead-Beck Funeral Home, West Unity, the Rev. Mike Beasley officiating. Burial is at Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity. Military rites will be given by American Legion Post 284 of Bryan.

Dorothy Frost
 Former Celina resident Dorothy J. Frost, 79, 5401 Palm Drive, New Port Richey, Fla., died Oct. 27, 2003, at Community Hospital of New Port Richey.
 She was born June 12, 1924, in Marion, to Glen O. and Dale B. Toms. Her husband, Homer C. Frost, survives in New Port Richey.
 Other survivors are a daughter, Candice J. (William) Fink, Sylvania; a sister, Betty L. Ruhl of Florida; and a granddaughter.
 She was a housewife and a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church, Celina.
 Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.

Ermal Howell
 Ermal K. Howell, 90, formerly of 321 Godfrey Ave., Celina, died at 8:35 a.m. Oct. 30, 2003, at The Gardens at Celina.
 She was born May 9, 1913, in Celina, to Thomas Jefferson and Clara Rosetta Fetters Howell.
 Survivors are two sisters, Bernadine Crouch and Ruth Feister, both of Celina; and several nieces and nephews.
 Deceased are three brothers, John, Bevon and Lyle; and a sister, Evon Howell.
 She retired from the former Mersman Brothers Co. of Celina after 39 years and was a member of Celina First Church of God.

Daniel Schoenlein
 Daniel J. Schoenlein, 20, 647 N. 800 E. Portland, Ind., was pronounced dead at the scene of an automobile accident at 4:50 p.m. Oct. 29, 2003, at the intersection of Wabash and Philothea roads in Mercer County.
 He was born Jan. 1, 1983, in Lafayette, Ind., to Ernest and Elizabeth Remaklus Schoenlein. He resided with his parents who survive.
 Other survivors are a brother, Scott of Portland; and a grandmother, Eleanor of Fort Recovery.
 A 2001 graduate of Jay County High School, he was employed at Hemmelgarn & Sons, Philothea and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Mercer County.

Ruby Smothers
 Ruby Smothers, 71, of New Knoxville, died at 8:15 p.m. Oct. 28, 2003, at her daughterís home in New Bremen.
 She was born July 1, 1932,  in Riley, Ky., to Andrew and Elizabeth Thomas Hart. On Dec. 1, 1951, she married James Smothers who died Oct. 9, 2001.
 Survivors are two sons, James of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Robert (Deb) of St. Marys; three daughters, Deborah Stegall and Elizabeth (Randy) Brown, all of St. Marys, and Karen of New Bremen; a brother, Lester Smothers, Gravel Switch, Ky.; two sisters, Edna Corcoran, Louisville, Ky.; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a daughter, Rita Whitley; four sisters, Edith and Bonnie Smothers, Beulah Raque and Grace Wren.
 She retired as a nursing assistant at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, where she worked for 23 years. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys.

Emma Strable
 Emma Beatrice Strable, 99, formerly of 309 Myers Road, Celina, died at 2:50 a.m. Oct. 29, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
   She was born Oct. 23, 1904, in Mercer County, to William P. and Anna M. Freeman Now. On Dec. 23, 1922, she married Edward Strable who died in 1991.
   Survivors are a daughter, Diane (Michael) Booher, Celina; a daughter-in-law, Virginia of Celina; eight grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are a son, Lisle; three brothers; and two sisters.
  She was a cafeteria worker for Celina City Schools. She was a member of Celina First Church of God, and a former member of its Ladies Aid group and Comrades Sunday school class. She also was a member and past president of American Legion Auxiliary and its 8/40 club of Celina.
 Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Bruce Strine officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.

Mary Ann Testa
 Mercer County native Mary Ann Testa, 82, died Oct. 29, 2003, in Oceanside, N.Y.
 She was born March 7, 1921, in Cranberry, to Phillip and Rose Klosterman Quinter. Her husband, John Testa, died in 1999.
 Survivors are three daughters, Candy Combest, Oceanside, Carol (Neal) Cutrone, Baldwin, N.Y., and Doris (Bob) Sands, Lauderhill, Fla.; a brother, Elmer Quinter, Richmond, Ind.; a sister, Alice Rish of Arizona; and five grandchildren.
 Deceased are two brothers, Paul and Harold Quinter; and a sister, Dolores (Dene) Sturgis.

 She was born Feb. 20, 1956, in Celina, to Robert Lisle and Evelyn Louise Hapner Luedeke Alt, who are deceased.

 He was born Jan. 27, 1917. in St. Marys, to Stephen and Cina Bowman Carmean. His wife, Lila Wade, died in 2002.
 Survivors are a son, John (Dorothy) Schelby, Memphis, Tenn.; three daughters, Linda (Larry) Verhoff, Ottawa, and Rebecca (Dave) Dircksen and Vickie Lennartz, all of St. Marys; a son-in-law, Ramon Perez of Chicago; two brothers, L.G. and Francis, both of St. Marys; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a daughter, Bev Carmean Perez; three brothers, Eugene, Gordon and Carl; and six sisters, Opal, Fara, Winona, Betty, LaVerne and Sylvia.
 He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys after 39 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran who earned the Bronze Star after serving in France, and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.) post 9289, Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 767 and American Legion post 323, all of St. Marys. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps with service in Wyoming and Idaho.

 She was born Nov. 6, 1924, in Celina, to John and Pearl Wale Siney. Her first husband, Robert Boedicker and second husband, Howard Flinn, are both deceased.
 Survivors are a daughter, Robin (Scott) Ault of Dayton; and three grandchildren.
 She was a retired secretary to the dean at Wright State University-Lake Campus in Celina. A former bookkeeper for the W.O.E.F. Board at the branch campus, she was a member of Phi Beta Psi-Iota Mu Sorority and the Community Picnic Association, both of Coldwater.
 A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.

George Hanlin Jr.

 He was born March 5, 1925, in Jay County, Ind., to George E. Sr. and Edwina Edmondson Hanlin. On Nov. 27, 1946, he married Esther Axe who died July 3, 1999.
 Survivors are two sons, Patrick (Sue) of Pennville, and Perry (Jackie) of Bryant, Ind.; an adopted son, Jessie Hinshaw, Pennville; a daughter, Peggy Ann (Steven) Manor, New Castle, Ind.; an adopted daughter, Jenny Schisler, Pennville; a brother, John of Pennville; four sisters, Ellen (Charles) Bulzone, Staten Island, N.Y., Nina Stultz, Montpelier, Ind., Martha Kimmel, Pennville, and Carolyn (Dee) Hoffacker, Liberty Center, Ind.; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews in the Mercer County area.
 He was a third-generation operator of Hanlin Well Drilling, and president of Jay County Board of Zoning Appeals. A graduate of Portland High School, he was past president and member of Central Indiana Tractor Pullerís Assoc., and Bro Shadow Club. He also was a member of St. Margaretís Catholic Church, Montpelier.

 She was born May 17, 1928, in St. Marys, to William and Tessa Vogel Glass. On May 17, 1947, she married James Lynch who died Nov. 3, 1992.
 Survivors are two daughters, Elaine (Hanley) Evans and Kathryn (Rocky) Clark, all of St. Marys; a daughter-in-law, Jane Parker Lynch, Naperville, Ill.; two brothers, Roger Glass, St. Marys, and Otto (Mary) Glass, Clearwater, Fla.; six sisters, Dorothy Kattman, New Knoxville; Pauline (Howard) Ogilvy, Norwalk; Juanita Garwick, Troy; Helen Bruns, Lima, Nellie (Ken) Krouse, St. Marys, and Virginia (David) Hegemier; and five grandchildren.
 Deceased are two sons, Michael and Johnny; a sister, Mary Hardin; and three grandchildren.
 She retired from the dietary department at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, and previously worked at Kochís and Mom and Popís Restaurant, all of St. Marys. A 1946 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, she was a lifelong member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Wapakoneta; and V.F.W. and American Legion Auxiliary posts of Spencerville.
 She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, and its altar sodality and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia.

Alfred Kunk
 Alfred J. Kunk, 80, 817 Westwood Drive, Coldwater, died at 5:20 p.m. Oct. 24, 2003, at his residence following an extended illness.
 He was born April 11, 1923, in Coldwater, to Louis and Paulina Vagedes Kunk. On June 22, 1957, he married Imogene Vogel, who survives in Coldwater.
 Other survivors include three sons, Lou (Nadine), Bob (Connie) and Ted (Beck), all of Coldwater; two daughters, Pam of Coldwater and Peg (Steve) Johnson, of Portage, Mich.; a brother, Herman (Ruth) of Coldwater; two sisters, Alma Venys, of Dayton and Edna Rutschilling, of Coldwater; and 13 grandchildren.
 Deceased is one sister, Sister Mary Catherine Kunk; and a brother, Donald.
 He was retired from New Idea corporation in Coldwater. A member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, he also was in the menís holy name society of the church, the Knights of Columbus Council 1991 and the Coldwater Veterans of Foreign Wars post 5135.
 Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater, where military rites will be conducted.

Thomas McGough
 Willshire native Thomas L. McGough, 58, of Licking, Mo., died on Oct. 2, 2003, at his residence.
 He was born June 21, 1945, in Mercer County, to Paul and Dora Cookson McGough.
 Survivors include a son, Daniel, of California; two daughters, Kimberly, of California, and Erin of Missouri; a sister, Susan Schrock, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and two grandchildren.
 He was a farmer and worked part time in carpentry. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of the Decatur, Ind., Veterans of Foreign Wars post.
 A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church in Chattanooga. The Rev. Thomas Arheit will officiate. Internment will follow at the church cemetery.

 Betty Brandenburg, 71, 410 S. Main St., Ansonia, died at 11:10 a.m. Oct. 22, 2003, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton.
 She was born June 6, 1932, in Connersville, Ind., to Julius and Velma Young Stamm. On March 20, 1948, she married William Brandenburg who survives.
 Also surviving are a son, Rick of Ansonia; a daughter, Betty Carol (Ralph) Magoto, Ansonia; a brother, Alvin Kanorr, Wapakoneta; a sister, Rosemary Block Sparks, St. Marys; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are his stepfather, Kenton Kanorr; four brothers, Alva, Wayne, Roscoe and Walter Leroy Stamm; a sister, Juanita Kupper; and a grandson.
 A homemaker, she formerly worked at Crown Equipment in New Bremen and the Lima News. She was a member of Ansonia Christian Church and Ansonia American Legion Auxiliary Post 323.

Brayden Sands
 Brayden Allen Sands, 2-month-old son of Bryan and Jennifer Hirschfeld Sands, 622 W. North St., St. Marys, died Oct. 22, 2003, at Childrenís Medical Center in Dayton. He had been ill since birth.
 He was born Aug. 10, 2003, in Lima.
 Surviving with the parents are the grandparents, Wayne and Sally Sands and Richard and Cathy Hirschfeld, all of St. Marys; the great-grandparents, Robert Hirschfeld, St. Marys, William Witt and Adelia (Robert) Arkenberg, all of Dayton; and a great-great-grandmother, Anna Deike, Celina.

 Hugo ìHooksî Knapschaefer, 76, 1009 W. Vine St., Coldwater, died at 6:19 p.m. Oct. 22, 2003, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
 He was born April 9, 1927, in Coldwater, to Herman and Philomena Steinke Knapschaefer. On Oct. 2, 1948, he married Martha Short who survives.
 Also surviving are five sons, Mike (Rita), Jack (Bonnie), Joe (Lynn) and Denis (Marlene), all of Coldwater, and Allen (Darcie) of Kingwood, Texas; a daughter, Marianne (Tom) Kincaid, Coldwater; two brothers, Walter (Gloria) of Dayton and Marvin of Denver, Colo.; his mother-in-law, Marcella Short, Coldwater; 25 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
 Three brothers, Dorsenes, Sylvester and Harold, are deceased.
 He retired from Dayton Power & Light Co. and Midwest Electric as a marketing representative. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, American Legion Post 470, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5135 and Knights of Columbus Council 1991, all of Coldwater. He also was a former CCD teacher.
 Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Ron Wilker officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater, with military rites by the American Legion and VFW.

 Former St. Marys resident A. Alfred Schamp, 85, died Oct. 20, 2003, at Fountain View Care Center in Holland, Mich.
 He was born Sept. 8,1918, in Auglaize County, to Harry and  Minnie Coil Schamp. On Oct. 3, 1942, he married Sarah E. Fisher who survives.
 Also surviving are a son, Michael (Dianne) of Cincinnati; a daughter, Elaine (George) Van Regenmorter of Holland; two sisters, Rosemarie Wehmeyer, New Bremen, and Mary Lea Hegemier, Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Schamp, St. Marys; four grandchildren and a great-grandson.
 Deceased are three brothers, James, Bus and Kenneth, and a sister, Edna Whitney Rupp.
 He retired as an agent with Western & Southern Life Insurance Co. in the Dayton area. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and graduated from St. Marys Memorial High School. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Dayton, and was competitive tennis champion in the Ohio Senior Olympics in 1990-1991.
 Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church near St. Marys, the Rev. Neal Whitney, a nephew, officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

 Allison Ruth Sibert, infant daughter of Robert D. and Tara Short Sibert, North Franklin Street, New Bremen, was stillborn at 6:09 a.m. Oct. 21, 2003, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.
 Surviving with the parents are maternal grandparents, Tedd and Judy Short, Minster; paternal grandparents, Robert and Ruby Sibert, Sidney; and great-grandparents, Lenore Otte, Maria Stein, and William and Juanita Sibert, Sidney.

Howard Wale
 Howard J. Wale, 78, 620 N. Sugar St., Celina, died at 8 p.m. Oct. 21, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
 He was born March 9, 1925, in Auglaize County, to Herbert E. and Helen J. Asper Wale. On June 8, 1946, he married Betty Marbaugh who survives.
 Also surviving are three sons, John (Donna) of St. Marys, Robert and Mark D., both of Celina; a daughter, Lorna (Mark) Niemeyer, Celina; two sisters, Ludell West and Virginia (Marvin) Koeper, all of St. Marys; and two sisters-in-law, Mary and Pauline Wale, both of St. Marys; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are two brothers, Herbert and Harold, and two sisters, Mary Helen Wale and Betty Deininger.
 He retired from New Idea in Coldwater in 1988 and served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Bagley during World War II. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and the American Legion, both of Celina.

 Naomi Leupp, 93, Archbold, died Oct. 21, 2003 at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford, where she had been a patient.
 She was born Oct. 6, 1910, in Pettisville to Ezra Albert and Cora Ellen Miller Frey. On Feb. 19, 1931, she married Orlen M. Leupp, who preceded her in death in 1973.
 Surviving are five daughters, Donna (Gerry) Mast, Elkhart, Ind.; Joan (Bill) Long, Rockford; Janice (Don) Hancock, Berne, Ind.; Judy (Gary) Sears, Archbold; and Karen (Steve) Schnitkey, also of Archbold; three sons, Ron (Vivian) Leupp, Witchita, Kansas; Larry Leupp, Wauseon; and Leslie Leupp, Hundington, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Orpha Frey, Archbold and a brother, Vernon (Marie) Frey, also of Archbold.
 Deceased are three brothers, Roy, Wilbur and Glenferd, and a great-grandchild.
 She was retired from Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home, Archbold, where she worked as a dietitian. She was a member of the Central Mennonite Church, Archbold, member of the Golden Age Sewing Circle and the hospital auxiliary.

 Mary Ellen Lynam
 Mary Ellen Anthony Lynam, 86, 02124 Greenville Road, St. Marys, died at 5:20 a.m. Oct. 21, 2003 at The Gardens of Celina. She formerly lived on Ohio 746, Caledonia.
 She was born May 13, 1917 in Marion County to L.G. and Bessie E. Fisher Irey. On May 30, 1942, she married Maurice Ransom Anthony, who died in 1972. She then married Clifford (Don) Lynam on Dec. 2, 1982, who survives.
 Also surviving is a daughter, Marsha Campbell, Silver City, N.M.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and the following sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Howard and Pauline McClenathan and Norm and Caroline Campbell, all of Caledonia; Bill and Margaret Trimmel, Noedesha, Kan;  Cheryl Fisher, Mount Gilead, and Reuben and Mary Hecht, Yorkshire.
 Preceding her in death were her first husband, a brother, Jack Fisher and a granddaughter.
 She has worked at JC Penney, Marion County Courthouse, MARCA Industries and had been co-owner of MAís Ceramic Studio, all in the Marion area. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, St. Marys, and the Marion-Salem United Methodist Church, near Caledonia.
 She volunteered at Otterbein Retirement Community for 15 years and served as a board member of the Agape ministries to the poor. She had served as member and treasurer of the United Methodist Women, lay speaker for the East Conference and as local chapter president of the Retired Public Employees of Ohio.
 Widely-known as the ìAngel Lady,î she had presented numerous programs about angels to interested groups.
 Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. James VanMeter officiating. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
 Also, services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Marion-Salem United Methodist church, Caledonia. Burial will follow those services at the Clairdon cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church.

Edwin Riethman
 Edwin H. Riethman, 84, 03386 County Road 30, Minster, died at 7:50 a.m. Oct. 21, 2003, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
 He was born May 4, 1918, in Minster, to Frank and Eleanora Baumer Riethman. On May 14, 1940, he married Dorothy Steinemann who survives.
 Also surviving are two sons, Bob (Marlene) of Dayton and Harry (Diane) of Minster; three daughters, Norma Winner, Yorkshire, Mary (Bob) Stueve, Minster, and Carol (George) Pryhuber, Danville, Calif.; a sister, Rosemary Albers, New Bremen; a brother-in-law, Ralph Gaier, Fort Loramie; a sister-in-law, Mary Riethman, Minster; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a son-in-law, Jack Winner; a brother, two sisters and a grandchild.
 He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, St. Augustine Orphan Society, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391, Cataract Fire Co., all of Minster. He also was a life member of the Minster Civic Association.

Nancy Wannemacher
 Nancy Lynn Wannemacher, 49, 6656 E. Highway 103, Lufkin, Texas, died Oct. 15, 2003, at her residence. She reportedly drowned after the lawnmower she was using flipped into a pond trapping her beneath the water.
 She was born Dec. 10, 1953, in Topeka, Kansas, to Samuel and Virginia Campbell Winegarden. Her mother survives in Pasadena, Texas. She married former Mercer County resident Richard Wannemacher who survives in Lufkin.
 Also surviving are a son, Ryan (Serena) of LaPorte, Texas; a brother, Richard Winegarden, Pearland, Texas; four sisters, Kathy Ries, Deer Park, Texas, Carol McGee and Cindy Beel, both of Pasadena, and Linda Cannaliato, Spring, Texas; and two grandchildren.
 She retired seven years ago from Shell Oil Company in Houston, Texas, where she had worked in information technology support. She also worked on various projects at Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin and as a volunteer at the Texas Childrenís Hospital in Houston and the Fort Bend County Library System.
 A celebration of life will be from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at the Wannemacher home.
 Locally, a celebration of life will be held Saturday, Nov. 1 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the home of Dan and Carol Harlamert, 901 Chelsea Drive, Coldwater.

 Deceased are twin brothers, William and Willard.
 He retired from Midwest Electric, St. Marys, after 23 years of service. He attended Immaculate Conception High School and graduated from St. Joseph High School in Wapakoneta. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 76, Wapakoneta.

 He was born Sept. 6, 1912, in Montezuma, to Vermont and Lura Monroe Bennett. On Dec. 12, 1940, he married Anna Pfister who died Jan. 25, 1998.
 Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca (Robert) Belden and Vivian (Paul) Goins, all of Sidney; a brother, Dwight of Mendon; three sisters, Lucile Patteson and Helen Stemm, both of Springfield, and Margery Banks, Yorkshire; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

 He retired from Stolle Corp. in Sidney. He was master of Unity Grange, a board member of Pasco United Methodist Church and a member of Shelby County Civil Defense.

 She was a homemaker.

 Oliver Henry Hoge, 89, 307 E. Bremen St., New Knoxville, died at 8:45 p.m. Oct. 19, 2003, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
 He was born Aug. 8, 1914, in New Knoxville, to Herman and Mary Sophia Oelrich Hoge. On June 23, 1940, he married Frieda Sue Hooper who survives.
 Also surviving are two sons, Bruce (Donna) of New Knoxville and Richard (Cynthia) of Whitehall; two daughters, Linda Lennington, Sunnyvale, Calif., and Sara Hochstein, Plymouth, Mich.; two sisters, Esther Dalton, Bremerton, Wash., and Ella Kuck, Sidney; and seven grandchildren.
 Deceased are three brothers, Arthur, Gustave and Joel, and five sisters, Laura Lageman, Rebecca Tschantz, Marcella Hoelscher, Bertha Roser and Olga Hardwig.
 He owned and operated Hoge Lumber Co. in New Knoxville with family members, retiring in 1989 at the age of 75. He was a member of First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville, where he taught Sunday School for many years and sang in the choir, and the Idlewild Club near Grand Lake St. Marys. A 32nd degree Mason, he was a member of Mercer Lodge 121, Free & Accepted Masons, Antioch Temple, Valley of Dayton, and the Aug-Mer Shrine Club.
 He also was president of the Northwest Ohio Lumbermanís Association, a charter member of the American Institute of Kitchen Designers and a former Boy Scout leader.
 Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Revs. David Hunt and Jon Coddington officiating. Burial will be at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.

   He was born Feb. 13, 1947, in Celina, to Roscoe David and Helen Kennedy Riley. On Aug. 17, 1968, he married Barbara Davis who survives.
 Also surviving are a son, Ashley Brian of Owensboro, Ky.; a daughter, Elizabeth Marie (Erik) Riley-Newell, Celina; a sister, Margaret (Ned) Wertz, Dover; and a granddaughter.
 He retired as CEO of Community First Bank in Celina, but remained chairman of the board. He also was past president of the Mercer County Civic Foundation, a board member of the Mercer and Van Wert County Visiting Nurses and a North Grove Cemetery Board member. He was a member of the Mercer County Sportsman Association, Mercer County Historical Society and Sons of the American Legion.
 A 1965 graduate of Celina High School and a 1969 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Business and Finance, he had attended several banking schools.

 He was born April 12, 1920, in Tama to James Edward and Bessie Jennie Gordon Searight. On Sept. 14, 1946, he married Mamie Josephine Nuding, who survives.
 Also surviving are a son, Ron (Lisa) of Rockford; a daughter, Jean Ireland, Rockford; and two grandchildren.
 Deceased are four brothers, Frank, Forrest, Fred and Charles; three sisters, Gladys Murlin, Wilma Swander and Margarite Carr and one grandson.
 He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, after more than 35 years employment there. He was a member of Mount Tabor Church of God, Celina.

 Edward L. Grunden, 66, of Van Wert, died at 4:50 a.m. Oct. 18, 2003, at Vancrest Healthcare Center, Van Wert.
 He was born April 24, 1937, in Columbus Grove, to Cy and Isabel Hoover Grunden. On Dec. 2, 1956, he married Barbara Schmidt and she died Oct. 19, 1983. On Feb. 15, 1986, he married Shirley Gaerke and she survives.
 Also surviving are two sons, Steven (Tammy) of Brooklyn and Gregory of Van Wert; a daughter, Lynne (Tony) Freeland, Van Wert; a stepson, Tim OíSullivan, Iowa City, Iowa; two stepdaughters, Kathy OíSullivan, Van Wert, and Kelly (Chris) Stemple, Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers, James (Doris) of Summerfield, Fla., and Donald (Carol) of Freehold, N.J.; a half sister, Sue Grunden, Lima; and two grandchildren.
 He had worked 18 years at Dana Weatherhead Corp., Antwerp, and for several Van Wert area companies. He was self employed in heating, ventilation and air conditioning for 40 years. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, the Loyal and Protective Order of Moose and the YMCA, all of Van Wert. He attended Assumption Catholic Church, also of Van Wert.

 He was born July 26, 1920, in Fort Loramie, to Joseph A. and Anna E. Schulze Winner. On Oct. 16, 1948, he married Rita A. Muller who survives.
 Also surviving are three sisters, Rita A. Holthaus and Joan (Ralph) Holdheide, all of Fort Loramie, and Mildred D. Prenger, Coldwater; and numerous nephews and nieces.
 Deceased are an infant brother and two brothers-in-law, Greg Holthaus and Leonard Prenger.
 He was a farmer and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Frenchtown. He served under Gen. George Patton with the Third Army in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II.

 He was born July 1, 1925, in Darke County, to Alfred and Cora Oliver Brewer. His wife of 55 years, the former Elizabeth Wirrig, survives.
 Also surviving are three sons, Donald (Cheri) and Dennis, all of Fort Recovery, and David (Leslie) of Union City; a sister, Lucile Harris, Hollansburg; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are an infant son, three brothers, Wayne, Melvin and Ralph; and three sisters, Esther Oswald, Edith Miller and Edna Hoggatt.
 A longtime Darke County farmer, he also drove a bus in the Jackson School District and the Mississinawa Valley Schools. He also was a Mississinawa Township trustee for eight years and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
 He was a member of Teegarden Congregational Christian Church, the Teegarden Cemetery Board and the American Legion Post, all of Ansonia, the Darke County Shrine Club and Antioch Shrine of Dayton. He was past master of Fort Recovery Masonic Lodge 539 and worthy patron of the Order of Eastern Star, Ansonia.
 Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Revs. Terry Haworth and Mike Stout officiating. Burial will follow at Teegarden Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Union City American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts.

 Carl W. Becker, 94, rural Spencerville, died at 10:45 p.m. Oct. 11, 2003 at his residence following an extended illness.
 He was born July 24, 1909, in Jennings Township, Van Wert County, to George P. and Gertha Rempfer Becker. On Sept. 3, 1966, he married Evon GaBerdiel Major, who survives.
 Also surviving are two sons, Myron J. Major, Garfield Heights, Byron (Anna) Major, Swartz Creek, Mich.; three daughters, Mary Jeanne (Jim) Shaner, Kalkaska, Mich., Maetta (Kevin) Kellermeyer, Yorktown, Ind. and Belinda K. (Mark) Sandy, Raleigh, N.C.; two brothers, Robert, Wapakoneta, Forest (Bart) Becker, Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Mary (Bob) Burson, Kissimmee, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are three brothers, Harold, Maurice and Wayne; and one grandchild.
 A 1927 graduate of Spencerville High School, he was a lifelong farmer and member of the Spencerville United Church of Christ. He was a member of Spencerville Grange 2424, a member of the Democratic Party, and a community historian.

 He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and the Menís Sodality, both of St. Rose.

 Isabelle Johanna Calhoun, 2, 123 S. Vine St., St. Marys, died Oct. 11. 2003, in Saint Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, of injuries sustained in an auto accident on Saturday in Lima.
 She was born June 15, 2001, in Lima to Luke and Victoria (Roberts) Calhoun, who survive.

 She was born Oct. 19, 1913, in St. Marys, to Charles and Bertha Cantwil Garwick. On May 10, 1952, she married Ermel Nelson who died May 26, 1975.
 Surviving are a sister-in-law, Juanita Garwick, Troy; a nephew, and a niece.
 A brother, Charles Garwick, and two sisters, Louetta Garwick and Martha Wierwille, are deceased.
 A 1931 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, she had worked as a supervisor at the former St. Marys Woolen Mill and then worked at Hunter Printing in St. Marys. She had headed the Womenís Guild at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys for 11 years.

 She was born Dec. 29, 1924, in Fort Loramie, to Julius and Marie Middendorf Barlage. On June 14, 1947, she married Richard H. Wehrman who survives.
 Also surviving are a son, John (Kathy) of Troy; a daughter, Jane (Dennis) Bensman, Dayton; three brothers, Robert (Beatrice) of Newport, Paul (Doris) and William (Margie), all of Dayton; a sister, Peg (Roger) Heitkamp, Fort Loramie; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

 She retired from Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney, and was a former court clerk in Fort Loramie. She was a member of St. Michaelís Catholic Church, where she had been a CCD teacher, the Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the Apostleship of Prayer, all of Fort Loramie.

 Lee A. Siebert, 85, of 8985 Hellwarth Road, Celina, died at 2:04 p.m. Oct. 9, 2003, at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
 He was born Jan. 29, 1918, in Mercer County, to Charles and Anna Teglar Siebert. On Aug. 21, 1954, he married Marcella Frahm, who survives.
 Other survivors include four daughters, Ruth (William) Evers, Coldwater, Marie (Mike) Rose, Versailles, Pat of Celina, and Linda (Ron) Hoying, Celina; a brother, Paul (Lela) of Celina; three sisters, Bertha (Earl) Waggoner, Voorheesville, N.Y., Florence (Fred) Bering, Hoagland, Ind., and Annetta Siebert, Celina; and 12 grandchildren.
 He was preceded in death by brothers, Walter, Irvin and Robert, and sisters, Esther, Willehemia and Louella.
 A member of St. John Luthern Church in Hopewell Towhship, he served 30 years in the church vestry and was a member of the church menís group. The retired farmer and World War II veteran also was a member of the Mercer County Farm Bureau Federation, where he worked on membership campaigns.
 Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Debra L. Domeier officiating. Burial will follow at Buck Cemetery

 Also surviving are three sons, Mike of Celina, Philip (Sheryl) of Franklin, and Dave (Cindy), Conyers, Ga.; two daughters, Mary (Mert) Nottingham, Celina, and Elaine (Skip) Tekamp, Coldwater; a brother, Louis (Beatrice) of St. Marys; three sisters, Helen (Vic) Bergman, Celina, Mildred (Louis) Homan, Dayton, and Lucille (Urban) Berning, Maria Stein; a brother-in-law,  Jack Birkmeyer, Celina; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are two brothers, Elmer and Alfred, and a sister, Roselyn Birkmeyer.
 He worked at Bennyís Bakery in Celina for 25 years and retired from Minster Machine Co. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, Disabled American Veterans and the Knights of Columbus, all of Celina, and Coldwater American Legion Post.

James Henderson
 James Leo Henderson, 85, formerly of Circleville, died Sept. 18, 2003, in Fort Myers, Fla.
 He was born March 27, 1918, in Junction City, to Leo and Elizabeth Moore Henderson. He married Margaret Ann Phillips, who is deceased.
 Also surviving are two sons, Jerry (Leslie) of Pickerington and Michael of Circleville; two daughters, Tami (Paul) Phillips, Reynoldsburg, and Lisa (Jim) Holloway, Cape Coral, Fla.; a sister, Ruth Myers, Celina; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
 A son, James Leo II, is deceased.
 He retired as director of claims and the claims training center for Nationwide Insurance Co. in Columbus after 37 years of service. He served with the U.S. Armyís 101st Airborne Division and was a prisoner of war for several months after the glider on which he was riding was shot down over Holland. He graduated from Circleville High School and Ohio State University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.
 He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Circleville, and a former member of St. Josephís Catholic Church in Fort Myers, Fla., where he had been a lector, a past exalted ruler of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts.
 Memorial services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Circleville.

 Also surviving are two sons, Jason of Muncie, Ind., and Michael of Cincinnati; a daughter, Emily of Fort Recovery; six brothers, Ralph, Martin, Loren and Matthew (Deb), all of Fort Recovery, Roman (Marlene) of Bryant, Ind., and Luke (Sharon) of Portland; and five sisters, Madonna (Leland) Sinks, Farmersville, Anna Marie (Ken) Brunswick, Bryant, Eileen (Don) Hoying, Greenville, Karen (Lester) Berning, Sidney, and Sylvia (Matthew) Stammen, Coldwater.
 Other survivors include her mother-in-law, Laura Wendel, Fort Recovery; a brother-in-law, Terry (Mildred) Wendel, Harold, Ky.; and a sister-in-law, Lillian (Larry) Heitkamp, St. Marys.
 A sister-in-law, Onalee Fullenkamp, is deceased.
 She was a kindergarten teacher at St. Henry Elementary School. A 1966 graduate of Fort Recovery High School, she received a masterís degree in education from Wright State University, Dayton.
 She was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church and the Altar Society, both of Fort Recovery. She had served as a Band Booster officer and a 4-H adviser.

 She was born May 20, 1917, in St. Rose, to Vincent and Mathilda Reinhard Lochtefeld. On Nov. 24, 1962, she married Walter F. Fogle who is deceased.
 Surviving are four stepsons, Forrest (Sandy) and Charles, all of Dayton, David (Theresa) of Clayton and Walter Jr. (Karen) of Washington; a stepdaughter, Veda DeGrost, Farmersville; a brother, Richard (Luella) Lochtefeld, St. Rose; and a sister, Ruth Bender, Fort Loramie.
 Deceased are a stepson, Mark; two brothers, Aloys and the Rev. Tobias Lochtefeld; and two sisters, Rosemary and Agnes Lochtefeld.
 She retired from Frigidaire in Dayton. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters, Catholic Golden Agers and the Good Samaritan Hospital Volunteers, all of Dayton. She was a former member of the St. Rose Catholic Church.

 He was born Sept. 5, 1919, in Mercer County, to Jacob and Alma Denman Brinkman. In 1939, he married Clara Esther Bollenbacher who survives.
 Also surviving are a son, Eldon Eugene of Hendersonville, N.C.; two daughters, Judith Ann (Greg) Miller, Moses Lake, Wash., and Virginia Mae (Eddie) Martin, Springport, Ind.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a daughter-in-law, Judy; a brother, James; a sister, Virginia Schroyer; and a grandson.
 He retired in 1984 from the Jack Kerns dealership, where he had worked as an auto body mechanic for more than 30 years. He grew up in Neptune, was a member of St. Paulís United Church of Christ, Rockford, and served overseas in the U.S. Army during World War II.

 She was born Aug. 19, 1912, in Van Wert County, to Enos Nelson and Nettie Mae Overholt Prichard. On Feb. 15, 1935, she married Bertis William Harmon who died Dec. 12, 1976.
 Surviving are two sons, Larry D. (Jean) of Wren and Terry L. (Brenda) of Convoy; two daughters, Sue (Gene) Barna, Rockford, and Janet of Van Wert; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a son, Gary Lynn; four brothers, Hugh Bynon, Ada Doyt, Charles Ray and Alta Ralph Prichard; and six sisters, Cora Bell Ralston, Mildred Roberts, Mary Thatcher, Ethel Phillipy, Vera Prichard and Lucy Evelyn Clouse.
 She was a homemaker and a member of Wren United Brethren in Christ Church.

 James Leo Henderson, 85, formerly of Circleville, died Sept. 18, 2003, in Fort Myers, Fla.
 He was born March 27, 1918, in Junction City, to Leo and Elizabeth Moore Henderson. He married Margaret Ann Phillips 56 years ago and she survives.
 Also surviving are two sons, Jerry (Leslie) of Pickerington and Michael of Circleville; two daughters, Tami (Paul) Phillips, Reynoldsburg, and Lisa (Jim) Holloway, Cape Coral, Fla.; a sister, Ruth Myers, Celina; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are his first wife, Peg; and a son, James Leo II.
 He retired as director of claims and the claims training center for Nationwide Insurance Co. in Columbus after 37 years of service. He served with the U.S. Armyís 101st Airborne Division and was a prisoner of war for several months after the glider on which he was riding was shot down over Holland. He graduated from Circleville High School and Ohio State University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.
 He was a former member of St. Josephís Catholic Church, where he had been a lector, a past exalted ruler of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts.
 Memorial services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

 Judy Marie Kincaid Homan, 45, 519 Lisle St., Celina, died at 10:54 a.m. Oct. 6, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, following a short illness. An autopsy has been ordered to pinpoint the cause of death.
 She was born March 15, 1958, in Celina, to Lee C. Jr. and Elizabeth Perini Kincaid. Her mother survives in Celina.
 Surviving are a son, Justin Lee of Celina; two daughters, Danielle Jean (Carlos) Spitler, Celina, and Jamie Marie, at home; two brothers, Michael Lee (Diane) Kincaid, Dayton, and Thomas Lee (Marianne) Kincaid, Coldwater; a sister, Carolann (John) Thees, Celina; and five grandchildren.
 She was a nurseís aide at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater, and a 1976 graduate of Celina High School. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina.

 A professional tool designer, he retired in 1991 as chief design engineer at Vulcan Tool Company, Dayton, after 40 years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of The Church of the Holy Angels and Knights of Columbus Council 3730, both of Dayton.

 John A. Garman, 40, 231 N. Herman St., New Bremen, died at 11:27 a.m. at St. Ritaís Medical Center, Lima, as a result of injuries he received in the line of duty as a New Bremen Firefighter during an explosion at Hoge Lumber Co., New Knoxville.
 He was born Jan. 6, 1961 in St. Marys to Charles and Erline Topp Garman, who survive in New Bremen.
 Also surviving are two brothers: Tim (Lori) and Keith (Yvonne), all of New Bremen; and three sisters: Janet Harrod, Amy (Robin) Webster, all of New Bremen, and Sandy (John) Bergman of Minster.
 He was a member of the New Bremen/German Twp. Fire Dept. where he was a former line officer and was currently the departmentís fire safety education officer and was committed to teaching children about fire safety through numerous programs in area day care-preschools and New Bremen Elementary School.
He was a machine operator at Crown Equipment Corporation, New Bremen.
 A mass of Christian burial will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Redeemer, New Bremen, with Rev. Thomas Mannabach officiating. Burial will be in the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.

Carl B. Kindell
 Former Celina resident Carl B. Kindell, 91, of Middletown, died Oct. 2, 2003 in Middletown Regional Hospital.
 He was born Aug. 16, 1912 in Anderson, Ind. to Benjamin L. and Eva Winter Kindell. He married Mary Frances McChesney of Middletown 56 years ago and she survives.
 Also surviving is a daughter, Mary Ellen (F. Lee) St. John, Newark; a brother, Ray, Lebanon; and two grandsons.
 A 1930 graduate of Celina High School, he graduated from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Toledo and worked in his fatherís drug store for more than 20 years. In 1955, he moved to Middletown and worked at Gillen-Crow Pharmacy until his retirement in 1980.
 He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. He played violin in the Middletown Symphony for 25 years, played upright bass horn with a German band, The Hungry Five and sang in the First Presbyterian Church choir.
 Services are 10 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Middletown, with the Revs. Karen Haak and Tom Ramsey officiating.

 Former Celina resident Florence Cavender, 91, 8300 Maysville Road, Fort Wayne, Ind., died at 7:20 a.m. Sept. 29, 2003, at Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne.
 She was born Sept. 23, 1912, near Leiters Ford, Ind., to Edward and Mary McGrew Cavender.
 Surviving are a brother, Gerald of Fort Wayne, and a sister, Dorothy Davis, Phoenix, Ariz.;
 Three brothers, Chester, Wilbur and Howard, are deceased.
 She served as a missionary with the Oriental Missionary Society in Colombia, South America, for 33 years and was ordained a minister of the gospel. She served two terms in Taiwan following retirement and wrote about her mission experiences in the book ìHis Banner Over Me.î Other assignments included a three-year stint as  pastor at Faith Missionary Church in Fort Wayne and trainer/director for Vacation Bible School teachers.
 She graduated from Leiters Ford High School, Fort Wayne Bible Institute and Asbury College, Wilmore, Ky., and attended  Asbury Theological Seminary. She was a member of Brennerman Memorial Missionary Church, Goshen, Ind., and a former member of First Missionary Church, Fort Wayne.
 Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, the Rev. George Nantz and Missionary Eugene Wittig officiating. Burial will follow at the IOOF Cemetery, Leiters Ford.

 He was born March 14, 1927, in Celina, to Hugo and Alvina Beckstedt Heckman.

 Deceased are a brother, Eugene, and two sisters, Delores Heckman and Helen Hemmelgarn.
 He worked in state road construction for 10 years and was a commercial truck driver for 25  years. He served in the U.S. Army/Merchant Marines during World War II. Margaret Koehl
 Margaret I. Koehl, 84, of Dayton, died Sept. 29, 2003, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
 She was born Sept. 20, 1919, in Dayton, to John and Alice Fissel Kaehler. Her husband, John Louis Koehl, died in 1981.
 Surviving are five sons, John Jr. (Susan) of Tipp City, Michael (Karen) of Powell, Tenn., David (Jan) of Farmington, N.H., Timothy (Betsy) of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, and Joseph (Lola) of Harveysburg; and nine daughters, Jacqueline (Charles) Kuhn, Huntsville, Texas, Jocelyn (Bernard) Art, New Bremen, Barbara (James) Deis, Arcanum, Rebecca (Keith) Evans, Conyers, Ga., Christine (Harold) Chambers, Leeís Summit, Mo., Mary (Gary) Carter, Hillsboro, Margaret (Chris) Deeter, Gahanna, Cynthia (Darrell) Wilson, Hillsboro, and Roberta of Dayton.
 Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Ed Koehl, Piqua; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Kaehler, Dayton; 48 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
 Deceased are a son, Daniel; 12 brothers and sisters, four granddaughters and a great-granddaughter.
 She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church , Dayton and itís Rosary-Altar Society.

Kenneth Jutte
 Kenneth J. Jutte, 44, 07449 Forest Lane North, New Bremen, died at 9:45 a.m. Oct. 1, 2003, in the emergency room at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, of injuries sustained in an explosion at Hoge Lumber Co. in New Knoxville.
 He was born Sept. 8, 1959, in Coldwater, to August and Betty Hemmelgarn Jutte, who survive in St. Henry. On Sept. 10, 1983, he married Martha Overman who survives.
 Also surviving are three children, Kyle, Kari and Corey, all at home; four brothers, Jerry (Theresa) of St. Henry, Joe (Lori) of Rockford, Ed (Diane) of Minster and Dave (Christa) of Cleveland; and two sisters, Connie (Brock) Dilbone, St. Henry, and Jean (Steve) Rammel, St. Henry.
 A son, Brent, is deceased.
 He was a supervisor in charge of distribution at Crown Equipment Corp., New Bremen. He was a member of the New Bremen-German Township Fire Department, where he was on the rope rescue team and a past line officer. He also was a certified first responder with the New Bremen Emergency Squad. He had attended the former Brunnerdale Seminary and was a 1978 graduate of St. Henry High School.
 He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, where he was a Eucharistic minister and a past council member, the New Bremen Athletic Boosters, Football Parents, the New Bremen/New Knoxville Rotary Club and the Crown Equipment 25-Year Club. He served as co-chairman for the construction of the New Bremen Swimming Pool and was a Little League baseball coach, soccer coach and past girls softball coach.
 Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
 Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9:30 to 10:10 a.m. Saturday at the church. The rosary will be recited prior to Mass.

Alvin Schoenherr
 Alvin L. Schoenherr, 76, formerly of Fort Recovery, died at 2:16 p.m. Sept. 30, 2003, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Marion, Ind.
 He was born March 7, 1927, in Cassella, to Aloys and Cleopha Boeke Schoenherr.
 Surviving are four brothers, Joseph (Joan) of Coldwater, Vince (Margie) of Fort Recovery, Roman (Rose Ann) of St. Paul, Minn., and Louis (Roberta) of Orem, Utah, and three sisters, Imelda Heckman, Maria Stein, Irene Fullenkamp, Portland, Ind., and Rose Ann (Richard) Post, Celina.
 Deceased are a brother, Victor. and two sisters, Ann Post and Marita.
 He was a farmer and a former employee of Avco New Idea, Coldwater. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and the Catholic Knights of Columbus, all of St. Joe, and the Fort Recovery American Legion Post.
 Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

 Mary Jean Werling, 76, Burkettsville-St. Henry Road, Celina, died of cancer at 12:15 a.m., Oct. 1, 2003, at her residence.
 She was born June 16, 1927, in Sharpsburg, to George and Rose Klenke Rammel.
 Surviving with her husband, Peanuts Werling, are a son, Bill (Peg) of Coldwater; two daughters, Sandy (Steve) Nash, Glenwood, W. Va., and Bev (Russ) Badgett, Celina; a brother, Fred (Delma) Rammel, Fort Recovery; a sister, Helen Aisenbrey, Fort Recovery; four sisters-in-law, Eleanor Rammel, New Town, N.D., Irma Rammel, Englewood, Monica Rammel, Brookville, and Norma Rammel, Greenville; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are four brothers, Richard, Herb, Alvin and Harold, and two sisters, Rita Livingston and Irene Franck.
 She was a homemaker and a former dietitian at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.

Minnie Boneta Deitsch
 Rockford native Minnie Boneta Deitsch, 86, of Fort Wayne, Ind., died at 8:06 p.m. Sept. 29, 2003, at her residence.
 She was born Oct. 30, 1916, in Rockford, to Benjamin Calvin and Merlie Catherine Rush Snyder. On Aug. 6, 1937, she married Olen Ordale Deitsch who survives.
 Also surviving are four daughters, Sue Ellen, Judy Ann (James) Sherron and Cindy, all of Fort Wayne, and Joyce (Richard) Fishel, San Demas, Calif.; a sister, Bessie Fahncke, Celina; a grandchild and a stepgrandchild.
 Deceased are four brothers, Darlene, Dee, Lowell and Verl Snyder; five sisters, Lena Cook, Lela Felver, Arberdeen Fickert, Opal Huffman and Jessie Sapp; and a stepgrandchild.
 She was a homemaker and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Celina.
 Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

Mildred Fry
 Mildred L. Fry, 76, 417 N. Mill St., Celina, died at 4:50 p.m. Sept. 30, 2003, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
 She was born June 13, 1927, in Celina, to Clyde and Elma Hole McQueen.
 Surviving are a daughter, Marsha (David) Klingshirn, Celina; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
 Deceased are a brother, Kenneth McQueen, and four sisters, Vera Ayers, Dorothy Smith, Margaret Strasburg and Ruth Emerson.
 She formerly worked in the Celina Municipal Utilities Office.

John Protsman
 Mendon native and former St. Marys resident John Protsman, 77, of San Diego, Calif., died March 25, 2003, in San Diego.
 He was born April 25, 1925, in Mendon, to Charles and Anna Maurer Protsman. In 1944, he married Ruth Lemunyon who died May 27, 1999.
 Surviving are three sons, John Craig (Nancy) of Scottsdale, Ariz., Wesley of Chicago, Ill., and Norman (Dana) of Hartville; two daughters, Diana (Lynn) Leibinger-Koch, Helena, Mont., and Barbara Harper, Portland, Ore.; a brother, Norman (Lee) of Live Oak, Fla.; a sister, Margaret (Al) Schran, Dayton; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
 He had been a draftsman at Minster Machine Co. and later worked in direct marketing and sales. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 767 and Mercer Lodge 121, Free and Accepted Masons, all of St. Marys. He graduated from Mendon High School and attended Findlay College.
 Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mendon United Methodist Church, the Rev. Paul Bunnell officiating. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.
 Calling is after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

 Gloria Vagedes, 65, West Butler Street, Coldwater, died at 6 a.m. Sept. 30, 2003, at Roselawn Nursing Home, Spencerville, following an extended illness.
 She was born Sept, 23, 1938, in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., to Furman and Obbie Newsome Avery. On April 11, 1953, she married Thomas Vagedes who survives.
 Also surviving are three daughters, Cecelia Ann (Gregory) Bornhorst, New Bremen, Marilyn Jean (Kenneth) Sanders, Huntington, Ind., and Linda Carol Nisewarner, Celina; a sister, Phyllis (Donald) Curtis, Ormond Beach, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren.
 A son, Thomas J., and a grandson are deceased.
 She formerly worked at Huffyís in Celina and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
