| The Celina Lakers all-star squads of the Celina Gym and Cheer, above, competed in the Super Jam Cheer competition in Columbus in October. More than 50 squads from as far away as Ontario, Canada, participated. The pee wee squad placed third, the junior co-ed placed second and the senior co-ed squad placed first in their division. The senior co-ed squad also was named grand champions of the competition and received a platinum bid to the Jamfest Nationals, slated to be held in Indianapolis, Ind., in February. The Celina Lakers also have a dance squad and a Twinkles squad who did not compete at Jamfest. The next competition will be at St. Henry on Sunday. All squads will attend this competition. |
