| St. Henry resident Dorothy Bruns smiles with glee as she puts the finishing touches on an elaborate display of Department 56 collectibles. Bruns began purchasing the lighted ceramic houses and accessory pieces in 1986 while working in the Washington, D.C., area. There isn’t room to display nearly 100 buildings and 140 sets of accessories in her current two-bedroom apartment. Officials at the Granville Township Branch Library in St. Henry allowed her to fill the adult reading room, as well as a large glass case in the entryway, with her collection. She considers the elaborate displays her Christmas gift to the community. |
