Kelly Mallory will swim two events starting Friday as the WaterDog senior qualfied for both the 50-and 100-yard freestyle after two strong showings at the boys district at the Student Recreation Center at Bowling Green State University. Mallory's times were good enough to qualify 18th out of 24 for the 50 and 19th out of 24 in the 100 freestyle. He'll be joined by Lindsey Kuhn, who posted the 24th top time to move to state in the 100 backstroke. Kuhn will also take part in the 200 medley relay, which qualfied with the 21st best effort at BGSU. Amanda Mallory, Larissa LaRue and Kylie Samples make up the rest of the relay team. Eddie Craft knew he was heading to Canton after finishing third in the diving competition last Friday. The top four divers received an automatic spot at Canton. The diving competition begins on Thursday at 7 p.m. St. Marys' Jaz Craft qualfied for her second straight state meet with the 21st best time in the 100 breaststroke. The medley relay and Mallory's 50 free prelims will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning at Branin Natatorium. Mallory's 100 free and Craft's 100 breaststroke prelim will take place on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. |
