Brickley, who is one of four different Parkway hurlers to have thrown no-hitters this summer, had five strikeouts and two walks. Brickley hasn't allowed a run in his last 181ò3 innings pitched.
Parkway's offense stays hot as well with the Panthers (19-3) collecting 10 hits while scoring the 11 runs, including eight runs in the opening frame. Rikki Covarrubias had a double and triple with a pair of RBI while Derek Snyder and Jordan Thompson each added a pair of hits. Kyle Hamrick also hammered a two-run single for the Panthers. Mariners lose on road The Grand Lake Mariners allowed five unearned runs in the fourth inning and Delaware added four more runs in the eighth inning to help the Cows post an 11-5 win. The loss drops the Mariners to 8-4 in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, but Grand Lake is still tied for the top spot in the league with Delaware and Columbus. The Mariners are back in action tonight at home for a 7:15 p.m. matchup with Lake Erie followed by another home contest on Wednesday against Indianapolis at 7:15 p.m. |
