| | The new Red Sunset maple trees lining the drive to St. Charles Center on U.S. 127 are sprouting bright red buds. The maple trees replaced the familiar row of elm trees, planted in the 1930s but lost to both blight and damage from the severe ice storm in January 2005. More blooms should appear as temperatures are predicted to rise to 62 Thursday.
