A PRIMARY ELECTION AND WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, THE NINETEENTH DAY OF MARCH 2024
In each and every precinct in MERCER COUNTY, OHIO, at such places as the Board may designate, for the purpose of selecting Presidential Delegates-at-Large and Alternates-at-Large to the National Convention, Presidential District Delegates and District Alternates to the National Convention, U.S. Senator, U.S. Representatives to Congress, Justices of the Ohio Supreme Court, Judges of the 3rd District Court of Appeals, Members of the Republican State Central Committee, State Senator, State Representative, County Commissioners, Prosecuting Attorney, Clerk of Courts, Sheriff, Recorder, Treasurer, Engineer, Coroner, Republican County Central Committee members, and the following questions and issues:
PROPOSED REPLACEMENT OF INCOME TAX COLDWATER EXEMPTED VILLAGE SCHOOL DISTRICT
Shall the existing tax of 0.5 percent on the school district income of individuals and estates imposed by Coldwater Exempted Village School District be replaced by a tax of 1.75 percent on the earned income of individuals residing in the school district for a continuing period of time, beginning January 01, 2025, for the purpose of paying current operating expenses of the School District? If the new tax is not approved, the existing tax will remain in effect under its original authority, for the remainder of its previously approved term.
PROPOSED TAX LEVY (RENEWAL) ST. HENRY CONSOLIDATED LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Shall a levy renewing an existing levy be imposed by the St. Henry Consolidated Local School District for the purpose of providing for the emergency requirements of the school district in the sum of $1,010,000 and a levy of taxes to be made outside of the ten-mill limitation estimated by the county auditor to average 4.6 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $161 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's appraised value for a period of 5 years, commencing in 2024, first due in calendar year 2025?
The Polls for the Election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on said day. The Mercer County Board of Elections would like to remind voters they must bring photo identification to the polls in order to verify identity. Voters who do not provide photo identification will still be able to vote by casting a provisional ballot.
Photo identification includes the following documents that includes the individual's name and photograph and is not expired: an Ohio driver's license, state ID card, or interim ID form issued by the Ohio BMV; a US passport or passport card; or a US military ID card, Ohio National Guard ID card, or US Department of Veterans Affairs ID card.

NOTICE OF CHANGES TO FEES FOR THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT
Notice is hereby given that the Schedule of Environmental Program Fees for the Mercer County Health District has been approved to be modified by the Board of Health effective March 2, 2024.
The Mercer County Health District has determined that the modifications to fee categories within Environmental Health programs, including Household Sewage Treatment Systems, Private Water Systems, Public Swimming Pools-Spas-Special Use Pools are in compliance with cost methodology requirements.
Any previous fees in conflict with the foregoing are hereby repealed. The Mercer County Health District establishes the modifications of the Schedule of Environmental Program Fees pursuant to Sections 705.15, 3709.09 and 3709.21 of the Ohio Revised Code.
The proposed Schedule of Environmental Program Fees is a local fee schedule which is not affected by state fees. If any of the individual fees within the schedule of fees are declared invalid for any reason, none of the provisions therein shall be affected. The modifications to the Schedule of Environmental Program Fees was adopted by the Mercer County Board of Health on February 14, 2024.

The registration deadline for the March 19, 2024, Primary Election is February 20. As required by law, those who plan to exercise their right to vote in the March 19, 2024 Primary Election, must be registered to vote at least 30 days before the election. Registration forms can be obtained at the Board of Elections and are also available at the authorized agencies listed below during their regular business hours.

• Must be a US citizen.

• Must not be currently incarcerated for a felony conviction.

Applications to get your Absentee Ballot by mail need to be addressed to the Board of Elections, must be in writing, must include which party ballot you want to vote, and must be received no later than 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Applications will be mailed to those who request one by calling our office. A separate application is necessary for each election. Mailing of Absentee Ballots will begin on February 21, 2024.
