Robert Boeckman Robert "Bo" Boeckman, 59, 316 W. Forest St., Celina, died at 4:21 p.m. May 2, 2004, at Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati. Death was due to an apparent heart attack. He was born April 13, 1945, in Celina, to Wilbert and Lorena Weitzel Boeckman. His mother survives in Coldwater. Also surviving are two sons, Brent (Jenny) of Cincinnati and Brad of Celina; a daughter, Betsy of Celina; his fiancee, Linda Long, Celina; and five grandchildren. Other survivors include three brothers, John (Martha) of Celina, Don (Linda) of Versailles, and Marvin (Dianne) of Wapakoneta; and five sisters, Marge (Bob) DeLaet, Houston, Janice (Roger) Oesterloh and Dianne (Bob) Christian, all of Ansonia, Karen (Alan) Ashley, Decatur, Ind., and Susie Boeckman, Celina. He had been employed 22 years at the Mercer County Highway Department. He previously worked at Speicher Brothers, Pet Milk and Minster Machine Co. A 1963 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, he had been a coach and umpire for Little League softball, baseball and soccer and served in the Ohio National Guard. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the American Legion post, both of Celina. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Alvina B. Kuether, 91, 135 Water St., Osgood, died at 11:30 a.m. May 2, 2004, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater. She was born May 17, 1912, in Maria Stein, to William and Anna Overman Mescher. On Oct. 23, 1934, she married Henry C. Kuether who died April 11, 1998. Surviving are a son, Mike (Linda) of Yorkshire; four daughters, Ann (Mel) Kremer, St. Henry, Ruth (Jerry) Koverman, Ansonia, Kathleen Hoelscher, Yorkshire, and Martha (Lanny) Brenner, Greenville; 22 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include six brothers, George (Martha), Leander (Carol) and Alvin (Norma) Mescher, all of Dayton, Paul Mescher, Celina, John (Mary Catherine) and Tom (Jeanette) Mescher, all of Maria Stein; three sisters, Agnes Hoying, Egypt, Marie (Leo) Schmidt, Vandalia, and Rita (George) Sullivan, Gresham, Ore.; a brother-in-law, Richard Selhorst, Coldwater; and three sisters-in-law, Leona Mescher, Minster, Verona Kuether, Egypt, and Mary Kuether, Houston. Deceased are a son-in-law, Victor Hoelscher; a brother and a sister. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, St. Barbara Ladies Sodality and the American Legion Auxiliary, all of Osgood. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial will follow at St. Martin Cemetery, Osgood. Kenneth D. Ross, 75, of Ohio City, died at 12:19 a.m. May 3, 2004, at St. RitaÍs Medical Center, Lima. He was born March 4, 1929, in Champaign, Ill., to Ralph and Glenna Bradley Ross. On Nov. 27, 1949, he married Elva Irwin who died May 20, 1996. Surviving are three daughters, Sandra (Larry) Clay, Rockford, Kathy (David) Parker and Kendra (Craig) Amweg, all of Ohio City; four brothers, Ralph (Pat) of Magley, Ind., Dan (Bette) of Decatur, Ind., John (Cheryl) of Corunna, Ind., and Mike (Deb) of Monroe, Ind.; a sister, Sally (Lester) Schwartz, Berne, Ind.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a daughter, Debra, and a brother, Bill. He retired from Phelps Dodge in 1991 after 37 years of service. He was a former member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1311 and the American Legion post, Rockford. Services are 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, the Rev.
