Genevieve Oelslager

Former Celina summer resident Genevieve Oelslager, 82, Greenville, died May 11, 2004, at her residence.
   She is survived by two brothers: Vincent Kaminski, Grand Island, Neb., Robert Kaminski, Lincoln, Neb.; a sister, Anne Kalina, Freemont, Neb.; a son-in-law, Larry Carper; two granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are her parents, Edward and Minnie Dixon Kaminski; her husband, John; and daughter, Carolyn Carper.
   She was a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church, its Rosary Altar Society, American Legion Post 487 Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary, GrandmothersÍ Club and Beta Sigma Phi Business Sorority.
   She retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
   Funeral Mass is at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Revs. James Trick and Charles Caserta, officiating.
   Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery, Pendelton, Ind. at 1:30 p.m.
   Calling is 5-8 p.m. Friday at Hale-Sarver Funeral home, West Milton.
   Contributions may be directed to the church.


Hildred W. Schumm

Hildred W. Schumm, 87, 10731 Ohio 118, Rockford, died at 9:30 a.m. May 12, 2004, at Laurels of Shane Hill Nursing Center.
   She was born Aug. 27, 1916, in Van Wert County, to Oscar A. and Hilda M. Schumm.
   She is survived by two nephews, Jim (Karen) Schumm and John Schumm, all of Rockford; and a niece, Kay Schumm, Rockford.
   She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roman and Harold.
   A laborer for GE Company in Decatur, Ind., she was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Schumm.
   Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur, the Rev. Robert Becker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
   Calling is 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
   Contributions may be directed to the church.


Robert Boeckman

Services for Robert "Bo" Boeckman were May 6, 2004, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiated. Organist was Cindy VanSantvoord and the Resurrection Choir sang.
   Pallbearers to St. Marys Catholic Cemetery were Chad DeLeat, Mike Osterloh, Ryan Long, Kevin Niemeyer and Matt and David Boeckman.
   Cisco Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.


Esther Karch

Services for Esther Helen Karch were May 5, 2004, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Washington Township, the Rev. Arvid Harklau officiated. Organist was Evelyn Bryan and Jerry Laffin sang.
   Pallbearers to Swamp College Cemetery were Rick Adams, Arnold Fast, Tim Menchhofer and Jeff, Jerry and John Karch. Honorary pallbearers were David Eisenschmidt and Corey and Jonathon Karch.
   Cisco Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
