Luetta Apple

Luetta Apple, 88, 740 N. Spruce St., St. Marys, died at 2:22 a.m. June 13, 2004, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
   She was born Aug. 2, 1915, in St. Patrick, to Frederick and Bernadine Schroeder Bensman. On Oct. 14, 1940, she married Sylvester Apple who died Aug. 29, 1991.
   Surviving are two daughters, Marlene (Elvin) Forlow, Celina, and Jane (Michael) Diedrich, St. Marys; a brother, Frederick (Esther) Bensman, Fort Loramie; a sister-in-law, Norma Bensman, McCartyville; two grandsons and two great-grandsons.
   Deceased are two brothers, Lee and Norbert Bensman; two sisters, Helen Schultze and Hilda Sommer; and a grandson.
   She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Altar-Rosary Sodality, both of St. Marys.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. David Heinl officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
   Calling is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.


Margaret Carpenter

Margaret F. Carpenter, 84, 423 E. Market St., Celina, died at 8:25 p.m. June 11, 2004, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
   She was born Nov. 17, 1919, in New Weston, to Charles and Lena (Foster) King.
   Surviving are a son, Robert (Barbara) of Celina; a daughter, Jackie (Luke) Springer, Celina; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
   She previously worked as a nursing home administrator in Indiana.
   Memorial services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Missionary Church, Celina.
   Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, has charge of arrangements.


Robert Oldiges

Robert C. "Hop" Oldiges, 54, 12087 Ohio 363, Minster, died June 13, 2004, at his residence. Death was due to natural causes.
   He was born Nov. 12, 1949, in Piqua, to Louis and Irma Didier Oldiges. They survive in Minster.
   Also surviving are his wife, the former Doris Hagelstein; a daughter, Britney of Minster; a brother, John (Marsha) of St. Marys; two sisters, Elaine (Jim) Simons, Sidney, and Donna (J.C.) Cornwell, Anniston, Ala.; and a granddaughter.
   A brother, Timothy, is deceased.
   He was a freelance truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a Minster High School graduate and a member of the Lake Loramie Improvement Association.
   Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, Minster.
   Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.


Robert Schulte

Services for Robert F. Schulte were 10 a.m. June 11, 2004, at Lehman Funeral Home, the Rev. Jason P. Tyas officiated. Organist was Carol Zimmerman.
   Pallbearers to Resthaven Memory Gardens were Marc and Brian Burger, Delmar Merricle, Dereck and Kyle Schulte and Doug Chaney. The Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts conducted military rites.
