Jewell Gerwels

Jewell Dean Gerwels, 73, 537 Touvelle St., Lot 55, Celina, died June 23, 2004, at her residence.
   She was born March 26, 1931, in Kodak, Ky., to Benjamin F. and Marie Sumner Engle.
   Surviving are six brothers, Wayne (Carol) Engle, Stanfordville, N.Y., Ben Jr. (Betty) Engle, Aberdeen, Charles (Joan) Engle, Celina, Billy (Dorothy) Engle and Vaughn (Billie) Engle, all of Coldwater, and James O. Engle, Flemingsburg, Ky; and a sister, Florene (Dominick) Dubbioso, Hartsdale, N.Y.
   A sister, Thelma Turner, is deceased.
   She was a homemaker.
   Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at W. H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Tom Christen officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery.
   Calling is 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to the Mercer County Council on Aging.


Bill Longstreth

Bill R. Longstreth, 8160 Deep Cut Road, Mendon, died June 24, 2004, at his residence.
   Arrangements are pending at W. H. Dick & Sons, Mendon.


Esther Freeman

Services for Esther Freeman were 10:30 a.m. June 24, 2004, at W. H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Mark Wakeland officiated. Organist was Phyllis Nash.
   Pallbearers to Mercer Memory Gardens were Jim, Dave, Dale, Todd and Mark Freeman and Kevin Grieshop.
