Helen Erikson

St. Henry native Helen V. Erikson, 77, of Richmond, Ind., died June 15, 2004, at her home.
   She was born Sept. 4, 1962, in St. Henry to William and Rose Huelsman Hart. Her husband, John Erikson, died in September 1998.
   Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Pat), of Arcanum, and Michael (Beckey) San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Anthony Hart, of Dayton; two sisters, Mary Ellen Newcomer, of Van Wert, and Leona Mesarvey Schlueter, of Celina; a sister-in-law, Hazel Hart, of Coldwater; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Hart, and a sister, Agnes Hart.
   She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church, Richmond, Ind.
   Services were held June 19 at the church, with the Rev. Joe Feltz officiating. Burial was at Abington Cemetery.
   Memorial donations can be directed to the American Cancer Society, Wayne County (Indiana) unit.
   Mills Funeral Home, Centerville, Ind., handled the arrangements.


Bill Longstreth

Bill R. Longstreth, 60, 8160 Deep Cut Road, Mendon, died at 5:25 p.m. June 24, 2004, at his residence.
   He was born Jan. 30, 1944, in Paulding County, to Thomas W. and Mildred R. Snyder Longstreth. On July 22, 1961, he married Jean A. Hoagland, who survives.
   Also surviving is a son, Brad, of Mendon; three daughters, Billie (Pat) Jackson, of Spencerville, Jesse (Kevin) Koontz, of Celina, and Dena (Dan) Roth, of Mendon; two brothers, Robert (Jean) of Topeka, Ind., and Gary (Karen) of Lakeview; a sister, Shirley (Phillip) Bradshaw, of Elgin; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
   He was preceded in death by six brothers.
   Had was a foreman at Fruehauf in Delphos before retiring after 33 years, and was a member of the Spencerville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6772.
   Services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Mendon, with the Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.
   Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
   Memorial donations can be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Cleveland Clinic.


Ida Weigel

Ida A. Weigel, 91, of Coldwater, died , June 25, 2004, at Briarwood Manor, Coldwater.
   Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, with burial to follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Calling hours will be at Hogenkamp Funeral Home on Monday.
   A full obituary will appear in Monday's newspaper.
  Dorothy Humbert
   Services for Dorothy Humbert were at 10:30 a.m. June 25, 2004, at Zion Lutheran Church, Chattanooga. The Rev. Randall Swanson officiated. Jim Maurer was organist and Sue Ann Reynolds provided vocals. Eulogies were given by David Carr and Doug Rich.
   Pallbearers to Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery were Larry Humbert, Ted, Doug and Marc Rich, and Craig and Grant Ripley
   Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home handled arrangements.
