Lena Fortman Lena E. Fortman, 91, formerly of 14001 Ohio 66 North, St. Marys, died at 11:20 a.m. July 2, 2004, at St. Marys Living Center. She was born July 11, 1912, in Botkins, to George and Theresa Wesbecher Kohlrieser. In October 1933, she married Franklin J. Fortman, who died Nov. 11, 1976. Surviving are three sons, James (Judith), Thomas (Nancy) and Donald (Bev), all of St. Marys; a daughter, Carol (Bryce) Chivington, also of St. Marys; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Deceased are four brothers, Clarence, Leo, Albert and Cletus Kohlrieser; three sisters, Mary Schaub, Hilda O'Connor and Lauretta Fisher; a granddaughter and a great-grandson. She had operated the former City Meat Market in St. Marys. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Altar-Rosary Sodality, both of St. Marys. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. David A. Heinl officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys. Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys. |
