Eugene Berry Celina native Eugene M. Berry, 74, of Philadelphia, Pa., died at 7 a.m. July 11, 2004, at Roxborough Memorial Hospital, Philadelphia. He was born Sept. 25, 1929, in Celina, to Cyril Oran and Daisy May Denney Berry. Surviving is a brother, Ray E. (Marcia) of Inverness, Fla. He retired after serving 21 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and later worked as a purchasing agent at Chestnut Hills Hospital in Philadelphia until retiring in 1991. He was a member of Bala Cynwd United Methodist Church near Philadelphia. Services are 11 a.m. Friday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Jim Robbins officiating. Ruth Ann Bunnell, 65, 416 S. Wayne St., Mendon, died July 12, 2004, in Youngstown. She reportedly became ill while traveling in Mahoning County. She was born June 21, 1939, in Miami County, to Homer and Opal Sergeant Nicodemus. On Dec. 20, 1959, she married the Rev. Paul Bunnell who survives. Also surviving are a son, David P. of Griffin, Ga.; a daughter, Paula Huffman, Springfield; and two grandchildren. Deceased are five brothers, Ross, Ronald, Ray, Richard and Robert Nicodemus. She was a retired teacher specializing in reading at the elementary and junior high levels. A graduate of Bradford High School, she received a bachelor's degree in education from Miami University, Oxford, and a master's degree in education from Toledo University. She was a member of Mendon United Methodist Church, where she was involved with the women's group and the Pioneer Club, and a past member of the Lions Club and Women's Club, both of Mendon. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Thad McGehee officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles. Calling is 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Celina native Julianna "Judy" Hein, 63, of Dayton, died July
10, 2004, in Jasper County, Ind.
She was born July 12, 1940, in Celina, to Hugo
and Marge Rentzsch
Surviving with her husband, Darrell, are a son,
Joe (Cherish) of Celina; a sister, Kathy (Tom) Bollenbacher,
Southern Pines, N.C.; and a grandson.
A Celina High School graduate and a homemaker,
she attended Forest Ridge Baptist Church and St. Peters Catholic
Church, Huber Heights.
Services are 9:30 a.m. Friday at Marker & Heller
Funeral Home, Huber Heights, the Rev. Russell Gross officiating.
Funeral Mass will follow at the St. Peters Church, the Rev.
Earl Simone officiating.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
