Alma Linn Alma Irene Linn, 91, 308 Harbor Point Drive, Celina, died Sept. 18, 2004 at Celina Manor Nursing Home. She was born April 5, 1913, in Coldwater to Rie and Ethel Snider Brown. On March 3, 1934, she married William Linn, who died June 4, 1993. Survivors are a daughter, Norma Jean (Robert) Gardner, Celina; two brothers, Don Brown of New Knoxville and Paul Brown of Celina; a sister, Wanda Shively, St. Marys; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Celina. Services are Thursday at the church, the Revs. Douglas Meyer and Jason P. Tyas officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery in Celina. Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, and 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Contributions can be made to the church. Dorothy Mae Poeppleman, 68, 11675 Meranda Road, Anna, died at 5 p.m. Sept. 19, 2004, at her residence after a six-month illness. She was born Jan. 4, 1936, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Michael J. and Anna Belle (Snook) Johnson. On May 17, 1958, she married Orville B. Poeppleman, who died April 10, 2001. Survivors are two sons, Fred (Cindy), Minster, and Ted (Michelle), Anna; four daughters, Martha (Michael) Bensman, Sidney, Phyllis (David) Stoll II, Wapakoneta, Treva (Daniel) Wuebker, Anna, and Patricia (James) Dillehay, St. Paris; and 13 grandchildren. She was a lab technician at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality, McCartyville, and was president of the church's widow and widower club. She was a volunteer at Anna Schools and was a graduate of Fort Wayne Medical School. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Patrick Welsh officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster. Contributions can be made to Wilson Hospice and St. Rita's Radiation Center. |
