Rita M. Gagle, 88, 905 Canterbury Drive, Celina, died at 7:12 a.m. Oct. 14, 2004, at Celina Manor Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 31, 1916, in Celina, to Leo J. and Carrie K. Kriegel Stachler. On March 26, 1977, she married Linville O. Gagle Jr. who died Jan. 18, 1997. Surviving are a sister, Janet K. Stachler, Celina; a brother-in-law, Calvin Gagle, Portland, Ind.; and four sisters-in-law, Ruth (Calvin) Prescott, Ridgeville, Ind., Verla Roessner and Alice (Carroll) Eichenauer, all of Fort Recovery, and Clara Miller, Lima. Two brothers, John and Paul Stachler, are deceased. She had worked at Leitzell Photography Studio in Celina for 17 years and later as a housekeeper for the Dr. Donald Fox family. A 1935 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, she was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Altar-Rosary Society, all of Celina. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Richard R. Riedel officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina. Contributions can be made to the church renovation fund or the Alzheimer's Association. Cary Rue
Cary E. Rue, 70, 402 Plum St., Coldwater, died at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 13, 2004, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton. He was born June 16, 1934, in Dayton, to Cara and Sally Howard Rue. On June 26, 1964, he married Mary Oda who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Daniel of Montezuma, Alan of Lakewood, and Michael of Coldwater; two brothers, Jimmy (Cathy) and Jerry, all of Union City; and two sisters, Ruth Strait, Union City, and Peggy (Allen) Thwaits, Celina. Deceased are a daughter, Ann; a brother, George; a brother-in-law, Charles Strait; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Rue. He had worked 41 years in maintenance at AVCO-New Idea in Coldwater. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church near Coldwater and the United Steelworkers Union. Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Arvid Harklau officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Calling is 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 9:30-10:15 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
