Merle Ray Rabe, 83, of Fort Recovery, died at 8:05 p.m. Oct. 30, 2004, at his home. He was born June 10, 1921, in Mercer County, to Vincent and Esther Schroyer Rabe. On Sept. 9, 1944, he married Ann Bollenbacher who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Blaine of Orange Park, Fla., and Kevin of Salinas, Calif.; a daughter, Irene Jill, at home; a brother, Ralph of St. Marys; and two sisters, Jean Boroff, St. Marys, and Mary Montague, Kettering. He was a farmer and a member of Wabash Church. He formerly served as a township trustee and was a former member of Midwest Rural Electric Cooperative. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Wilton Hull officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery. Mary Hundley Stelzer, 82, 311 Morton St., Celina, died at 12:40 p.m. Oct. 31, 2004, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. She was born Sept, 2, 1922, in Newark, to Jesse D. and Martha Fickle Trace. On Jan. 1, 1941, she married William Hundley who died in June 1993. On Jan. 26, 1994, she married Florian Stelzer who died Dec. 21, 2001. Surviving are two daughters, Gloria (Robert J.) Miller, Coldwater, and Becky (Dan) Booher, Canon City, Colo.; a stepson, Dick (Judy) Stelzer, Dayton; two stepdaughters, Mary Ann (Carl) Dirksen, Celina, and Janet (Jim) Krieg, Coldwater; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Four brothers, John, Clyde and Jake Trace, are deceased. She retired from Reynolds & Reynolds Co. after 33 years of service and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Mercer County Council on Aging and the Red Hat Society, all of Celina. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Revs. Richard Riedel and Richard Van Horn officiating. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery. Gloria VanTilburg, 87, formerly of Celina, died Nov. 1, 2004, at Carlisle Manor Nursing Home in Carlisle. She was born Feb. 6, 1917, in Celina, to Benjamin and Leona Hile Cencebaugh. Her husband, Robert Blossom VanTilburg, is deceased. Surviving are a sister, Madeline Senger, Michigan; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Deceased are two daughters, Diana Wolfe and Dixie Yaun; two brothers, Gene and Hubert Cencebaugh; a sister, Ismay Jober; and a granddaughter. Services are 3 p.m. today at W.H. Adelia "Dee" Westrich, 93, of Delphos, died Nov. 2, 2004, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born May 25, 1911, in Ottawa, to Joseph and Odessa Wehinger. On Oct. 31, 1940, she married Melvin F. Westrich who died Aug. 21, 2002. Surviving are a son, Jack (Jane) of Delphos; three daughters, Linda Gerdenich, Aspen, Colo., Dee Ann (Dennis) Lause, Riverside, Calif., and Kay (Mark) Rasmus, Maumee; two sisters-in-law, Maneta Heck, Germfark, Mich., and Eunice Westrich, Fort Wayne, Ind.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Cecelia Rooselit and Glena Fry, are deceased. She was co-founder and owner of Westrich Furniture in Delphos and member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Delphos, the Delphos Country Club and Delphos Garden Club. Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Calling is 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 2-8 p.m. Friday at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Orians Funeral Home, Delphos.
