Mary Bowery Former Fort Recovery resident Mary Agnes Bowery, 79, died Oct. 13, 2004, in Augusta, Ga. She was born Oct. 18, 1924, in St. Joe, to Estella Steinbrunner. On Aug. 11, 1951, she married John Bowery who survives. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Sister Frances Bowery and Matha Tosti. Following graduation from Fort Recovery High School, she moved to Florida to study dental hygiene. Funeral Mass was on Oct. 18, her birthday, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Augusta. Leo H. Fella, 61, 705 Pine Road, Coldwater, died at 10 a.m. Nov. 7, 2004, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born Jan. 31, 1943, in Dayton, to Leo Sr. and Rosemary Holtman Fella. On Feb. 8, 1963, he married Donna Sims who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Anthony (Susan) and Dean, all of Coldwater, and Robert (Annette) of Baltimore, Md.; two daughters, Debra (Melvin) Ryder, Hot Springs, Va., and Stephanie of Coldwater; a brother, John (Melanie) of New Weston; five sisters, Marilyn (Don) Easterly, Middletown, Rose Mary (Jack) Barhorst, St. Petersburg, Fla., Judith Delong, Gordon, Kathleen (Marvin) Sudhoff, Celina, and Margaret (Jeff) Myers, Bryant, Ind.; eight grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren. A brother, Louis, is deceased. He was a truck driver. Graveside services are 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Thomas E. Fullerton, 63, 246 S. Main St., Minster, died at 8:15 p.m. Nov. 7, 2004, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster. Death was due to natural causes. He was born Dec. 18, 1940, in Marietta, to Harold and Martha Roney Fullerton. On Nov. 12, 1964, he married Rosalie Heiser who survives. Also surviving are a son, John of Sidney; five daughters, Susan Idle, Theresa and Yolanda, all of Piqua, Cheryl (George) Yates, Fort Loramie, and Amy of Minster; a sister, Joyce (Charles) Wesco, Troy; and 10 grandchildren. A daughter, Martha, is deceased. He was a janitor and a U.S. Navy veteran. Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St. Marys, with president William Davis officiating. Calling is after 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Former Coldwater resident Anne V. Jackson, 83, of Minnetonka, Minn., died at 3:45 p.m. Nov. 7, 2004, at Emerald Crest Nursing Home in Minnetonka. She was born May 1, 1921, in Chicago, to Martin and Alice Reilly McCormack. On Nov. 16, 1946, she married Robert F. Jackson who died Aug. 3, 1992. Surviving are two sons, Robert M. (Kathleen) of Minnetonka and Kevin F. (Joanne) of Chicago; two daughters, Barbara E. (Bruce) Roberts, Strongsville, and Mary Eileen (Michael) Amrine, Mentor; a brother-in-law, Daniel Ostendorf, Centerville; a sister, Alice Condon, Chicago; and 14 grandchildren. Deceased are a daughter, Carol Lynn Ostendorf; four brothers and two sisters. A retired bookkeeper, she had worked at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, and the Mercer County Treasurer's Office. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where she had served as a Eucharistic minister, St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality and Phi Beta Psi Sorority, all of Coldwater, Mercer County Elks Lodge 2170 and Immaculata High School Alumni Association, Chicago. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Calling is 3-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Contributions can be made to the Mercer County Civic Association for Coldwater Memorial Park. |
