Faye Burch Former Celina resident Faye I. Burch, 80, 2017 Heigh Knoll Drive, Dayton, died Nov. 17, 2004 at Koester Pavilion in Troy. She was born Feb. 14, 1924, in Portland, Ind., to Chas and Sarah Glea McAfee Ferner. On March 28, 1948, she married Francis Burch who died June 18, 1993. Surviving are two daughters, Sarah (David) Leming, Dayton, and Lois (Bill) Thacker, Sidney; a brother, Lowell (Wanda) Ferner, Portland; a sister-in-law, Helen Ruth (Ed) Wittung, Van Wert; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Deceased are a sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Reno Sieg, and a brother-in-law and his wife, LeRoy and Betty Burch. A retired cook, she had worked for Celina City Schools and the Mercer County Home. She was a member of Beaver Chapel Congregational Christian Church, Celina, where she had been a director and teacher for Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, and the W.C.M.C. of the church. Services are 2:30 p.m. Monday at the church, the Revs. Ed Ellis and Tom Christen officiating. Burial will be at Swamp College Cemetery. Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at W.H. Edgar Dale Krugh, 84, 6085 Mercer Road, Mendon, died Nov. 18, 2004, at his home. He was born July 9, 1920, in Mendon, to Earl and Ruth Faulkner Krugh. On Sept. 5, 1942, he married Mary Kimmel who survives. Also surviving are a son, Ronald Lee (Nancy) of Mendon; two daughters, Shirley Ann (Duane) Dillon, Cincinnati, and Judith (Eileen) Crider, Mendon; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A brother, Glen, is deceased. He was a farmer and co-owner of Mendon Farm Store for 25 years. A 1938 graduate of Mendon High School, he was a member of Mendon United Methodist Church and Mendon Masonic Lodge (now Shane's Lodge 2395 in Rockford). He was a former Union Township trustee and a former member of the Mendon Lions Club. Services are 1 p.m. Monday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Mendon, the Revs. Paul Bunnell and Randy Christian officiating. Burial will be at Mendon Cemetery. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Fort Recovery native Diane E. McGlenn, 60, of Huntington Beach, Calif., died around 1 a.m. Nov. 17, 2004, at her home. Death was due to cancer. She was born Jan. 2, 1944, in Fort Recovery, to Alfred and Mary Green Romer. Her mother survives in Fort Recovery. In 1967, she married Thomas McGlenn who survives. Also surviving are a son, Randy (Sonia) of Annaheim, Calif.; a daughter, Jennifer (Anand) Rao, Aliso Viego, Calif.; three brothers, Ronald (Pauline) Romer, Celina, Kenneth (Elaine) Romer, Fort Recovery, and David (Rita) Romer, Coldwater; and five grandchildren. She was a 1982 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. Memorial services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fort Recovery. Alice Paulus, 61, 306 S. Beech St., St. Marys, died at 6:45 p.m. Nov. 17, 2004, at her home following an extended illness. She was born Oct. 22, 1943, in Hillsboro, to Carlos and Louise Baker Storer. Her stepfather, James Huston survives in St. Marys. Also surviving are two sons, Robert (Barbara) and Steven, all of St. Marys; five daughters, Theresa (James) Haynes, Sidney, Pamela of Lima, Melissa (Mike) Fowler, Shannon and Tasha, also of St. Marys; four brothers, Roger, Larry, Steve and Tony Storer. all of St. Marys; a sister, Sherry Poppe, St. Marys; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Edward; a daughter, Tina; and a brother, Harold Storer. She was a homemaker and a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 767. Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. |
