Carl Chiles

Carl B. Chiles, 78, a resident of The Gardens at Wapakoneta and a former resident of 6741 Lake Acres Drive, Celina, died at 6 a.m. Dec. 2, 2004, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
   He was born Jan. 20, 1926, in Allen County, to C.B. and Vera Kaiser Chiles. On Sept. 5, 1948, he married Mary Longsworth who survives.
   Surviving are two brothers-in-law, Jim Longworth and Bob (Bernice) Longworth, all of Wapakoneta; a sister-in-law, Alice (Ken) Lynn, Monticello, Ky.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
   A sister-in-law, Betty Mayhugh, is deceased.
   He retired after 28 years of service with the Ohio Department of Public Works, where he was responsible for the operation and preservation of the Miami-Erie Canal. He was a member of American Legion Post 323 in Celina and Trinity Lutheran Church in Moulton, a graduate of Wapakoneta High School and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
   Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Joy Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
   Calling is after noon Sunday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to State of the Heart Home Health & Hospice.


Dale Schroyer

Dale L. Schroyer, 77, 1272 state Route 29, Celina, died at 6:35 p.m. Dec. 2, 2004, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
   He was born Jan. 19, 1927, in Wabash, to Albert and Anna Noble Schroyer.
   Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Dorthy Schroyer, Celina, and Dorothy Schroyer, Wabash; and several nieces and nephews.
   Three brothers, George, Dallas and Carl, are deceased.
   He owned and operated the Wabash Store. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Fort Recovery.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Doug Dafoe officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery.
   Calling is 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to State of the Heart Home Health & Hospice.
  Regis Spindler
   Services for Regis Spindler were Dec. 1, 2004, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Rockford, the Rev. Tom Brenberger officiating. Organist was Sandy Matthewson.
   Pallbearers to Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, were Matthew and Mitchell Henry, Elliott and Zackary Minnich, Taylor Hilyard and Marcus Heitkamp.
   Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, had charge of arrangements.
